Finally have my FCR4 and I am having a blast! Nice quiet smooth riding bike! 60 miles in three days despite that wet stuff falling from up above. 18 min ride on comfort bike cut down to 11 min first day. Am looking forward to a 60 mile ride this weekend. Will have to get used to the bumps and rough roads we have here tho. Rode my sedona to store the other day, felt like I was riding a tank! Point is, I just enjoy my FCR4 despite of all the flak cause Giant called it a fitness bike! From what I seen on the threads here, the FCR has road friendly gears, anyway.Later dudes!

it will be a good idea to point the handle for the front quick release back wards.. they way it is set up now it could get caught on to things on the road...

Just picked up a 2005 LeMonde Reno. My LBS gave it to me to replace a mid 80's ALAN with Shimano 600 grouping that was stolen from the store. Love the new ride, way faster, more comfortable, better climber....But, I rode the ALAN for 20 years. I feel like a friend has died.

Some time back there was a thread about Surly frames..I have four bikes..Two road bikes, a hybrid, and a touring bike......
Well, My oldest road bike was a well traveled Scott..Time to have the frame replaced after 70,000 miles...So my -sort of ( many parts from the old bike.) new bike...My new Surly, i really enjoy it..Lighter than my Fuji tourer, yet the Surly, I can now use for light commuting...
Of my four bikes, I am riding the Surly a lot of late..has a road bike feel, yet heavy enough to carry something....don't regret the switch over at all.

I just got a 2006 six-thirteen Cannodale with Durace. It weights less than 16 pounds and rides like a dream. I had previously been riding a 1977 Medici frame with 1972 and 1975 Campy parts. If someone were looking for a new bike, you should look at the six-thirteens.

Thanks guys.Yeah,The Orbea is super smooth especially comparing to the Sworks. But mind you,I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Sworks E5 for anyone on a tighter budget.

Here is my second road machine, a Scott CR-1 Team. My first road bike is a 1976 Raleigh Professional that I've refitted with mostly Ultegra 9sp. As you can see on the Scott, I've already switched out the Mavic Ksyrium Elites for a handbuilt set of Velocity Aeroheads from Oddsandendos.com - much lighter. I'll be moving the Ultegra group from my Raleigh to the Scott soon.

Here's my 1986 Panasonic "Sport". Just got it off eBay recently, and am pretty much new to road cycling at 20. I'm in crap shape but hope to change that soon. In the process of fixing it up even though its in great condition. New tires are on, in the process of removing the rest of those oh-so-eighties decals.

Great to see folks still using the older road machines. In addition to my new Scott CR-1 above, I have switched out a 1976 Raleigh Professional from Campy NR to mostly Ultegra for the STI shifters and a triple crank. Have since changed the saddle out to a Terry Ti Fly.

I recently purchased a 2005 Mercier Galaxy Road bike and it's a great bike.
I have to admit, I don't do any racing and haven't really imersed myself in every minute detail of riding (yet).
I do like the feel of the bike and the way it rides.
