Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

My first road bike in 13 years. Bone stock '03 Trek 2200 SL, came with lots of Bontrager stuff ( Select wheels, Lite tires, carbon fork, stem and bars ) triple chain ring (nice for the mountains where I live).

I love to ride it !

i really like the paintjob on that trek above. its too bad that some of their more recent paintjobs aren't as attractive(to me).

also, the above orbea is georgeous...as orbeas always seem to be.

You should read Hunter S. Thompson's explanation of how to react to a cop wanting to pull you over. I wouldn't necessarily suggest it but if you do, make sure to forget the beer can.

Never mind, your quote is from his book, too quick to post, or else too much living like him im my youth.

My new ride... just built it on Saturday. So sweet. Specs are here.
Worth noting: I'm riding a 50cm and it's the first bike I've had that doesn't have toverlap. So nice.

Here is the $10.00 Trek 2300 I'm putting back on the road.

My intention is to use it primarily for commuting to work, and for recreational riding on the weekends.

I just bought a NOS 2004 Giant TCR Composite 1 (Medium) for $1999 instead of $2599. I'll post a photo of it as soon as I get it to stand still. I've never had such a light, responsive bike that smoothens out all the nuances in the road but is also stiff for pedaling power and in the corners. Great bike.

Here is my race bike, I got the R1000 last year because I liked the color, then swapped the Ultegra for Dura Ace and just got some new wheels on it. Can't wait for this weekends race.

That's one of the nicest bikes I've ever laid eyes on. Something about it just "works".

yeah it took them literally maybe 10 minutes to make everything work right. its been one of those weeks for me and i think that the stress and lack of sleep(due to stressful work environments) didn't help at all with the fixing of the problem...the lbs didn't catch the problem on the first visit either, as i've said in other posts. anyways, everything is great now...i just need a chance to actually get out there for awhile and ride my heart out.
