i think you need to make up your mind about whether it's a "stallion" or a "she," though.
EDIT - also meant to ask...what model is it?

Don't mean to hijack this thread by any means, but I can't send a PM until I hit 50 posts. In any event, when I was first looking to upgrade to a road bike, I fell upon your youtube video which helped me to make my decision. I recall your comment about the Specialized seat.

New to BF and road cycling. Introduced myself in the Intro section - but here goes: I'm from Victoria BC, Canada.
Just bought a Marinoni Super Vectra and looking forward to hitting the road.

Javelin Boca Titanium with Carbon rear stays.
Zero Wheels, Zero Carbon seatpost, Oval carbon bar, specialized 120mm stem, Zero Carbon fork, SRAM Rival RD, Force FD, Rival crankset and shifters
Since this picture I have changed the saddle to a Fizik CX, replaced the cages with stainless and swapped the looks for speedplay zero.

Almost every thing picture was much less than retail except the assaults and the Quarq.
Tarmac frameset - significant team discount
Giant (my first bike) - framset $200 on ebay
E5 frame - approx 500 on ebay (more than i wanted to pay, but i got in a bidding war)
all components significantly less than retail on ebay or craigslist or team discount (often used parts)
By comparison I currently drive a 2002 honda civic. won't pass smog. has no A/C, broken antenna, AM/FM only. manual doors/windows, broken door handle, has been keyed...repeatedly. Has a persistent oil leak and overheats in the summer. Likely cost me a second date on two occasions in the last 6 months. It is probably worth less than the Assaults.

Many firsts with this one.
Just picked this bike up today! $375 off cl.
It has nothing on a lot of sweet bikes ive seen in this thread but its my baby already!
It is my first bike with brifters, clipless pedals, threadless stem, carbon fiber frame, aluminum frame, and carbon fork.
I love it so much, the gears are nice to have again, gotten used to fixed gear.
Nothing bad has happened with the clipless pedals and I hope nothing will.
Ultegra shifters, crank, and fd
Shimano 600 brakes and rd
Look pedals..
Carbon hubs with Mavic rims
MADE IN USA!!

What it is? It's a blue and yellow Colnago Decor. Tape and tires were worn, so now it's a lot less yellow;
Question; should I swap the brakes for Campy Deltas? Just because they look hot.

Vicelord: Thanks for the compliment. This bike rolls as nice as it looks. I have started getting asked into much more conversations at the club rides due to the nostalgia of the bike. Lol.
Edit: My lake road shoes are worn from the beating they took being used with SPD pedals so I will most likely have to get a new set of shoes because I was only able to get 2 of the 3 bolts/screws in the new cleats on my right foot.

Don't swap unless you smack on an entire Campagnolo group. Just the Delta's would be a fail combining it with the Shimano shizzle.

I'm relatively new to BF and this is my first road bike. I just did my first organized ride yesterday, 05/15/2011 (the Pasadena Marathon Bike Tour) and I had a blast. Can't wait for the upcoming 50 mile LA Riverbed Ride in June!
