Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I have also heard good things about the Topeak Aero Wedge series, they clip onto a plastic thing that mounts on your saddle rails...

I had one of those bags with the strap on the front that wraps round the seat
post on my bike for a while and when i took it off to adjust my saddle position
i found the plastic buckle had started to wear into my carbon seat post so i took
it off and now use one of those toolkit bottles that fit a bottle cage. It holds 2
tubes, tyre levers and tools.

I think I might get one of these. The little Trek bag I use right now is just a bit small for all the stuff I carry.

you describe the newer version, but your pic is of the older version. i don't recommend the older version, with the plastic S glued on both sides, my shorts actually got chaffed from it. the newer one, with the embroidered S, is much better and doesn't cause my shorts to get chaffed like the older one did. i guess that's why all of their newer saddle bags have the embroidered S logos now..

I just don't like having a bag under the seat. first, I like the feel of the bike without the extra weight on the seat. seems like every few weeks, I ride up to someone with their bag open. you can't see your stuff while riding, so you can't get to it...try one of these: https://www.probikekit.com/display.php?code=B1078

does the specialized mini wedge have a mesh netting for keys and money?

also, do you think you could stick two tubes and 3 tire levers and a couple hex wrenches in the mini wedge?

The nicest one I have seen so far is this one on Competitive Cyclist: Sci-Con Elan Seat Bag.

Thanks in advance!
If you like the Sci-Con Elan Seat Bag, try the Continental Counterpart......

I think they're actually the same bags. It's under $9 at PBK and includes an extra tube and tire levers.....

It's really small and you can put it practically anywhere on your bike (I have mine on my Braze-on FD bracket.

If it's a short ride (less than ~50 miles) I put everything in my jersey pockets.

Longer than that, I generally want to carry extra stuff like cliff bars, fruit, extra layers or a rain jacket (like today) I use a incredibly freddy carradice bag that matches my bike pretty well and adds to the retro look.

When I blow by weight weenies on climbs I can hear their screams for miles.

Topeak Clip bag medium works great for me: https://www.topeak.com/t8/products/ba...wedgepacks.php I like the clip as it is easy on and off for cleaning, etc.

I guess since you did not identify exactly whether you were needing a sit bag for tubular or clincher stuff, I'll throw in some tubular reference. I used to have a small seat bag where I stuffed a spare tubular and CO2. Could barely fit it in after a long struggle, but always hated the looks of it and the bulk of it too. Now, I just put the spare folded under the seat, carry 2 spare CO2 cartridges/inflator, and a multitool, which I am yet to justify why since the I never ad one before the last 2000 miles and have never needed since either. I will likely stop carrying it altogether. The CO2 cartridges I have taped together with scotch tape to make them neater and easier to carry in my back pocket. I hate carrying extra stuff, but this is a necessesity. So is my cell phone and as many GU packets I can stuff in my pockets for long rides.

I have one of the Sci-Con Elan 210 bags and it holds everything I need - tube, tire levers, CO2 inflator, two cartridges, a patch kit and a tiny multi-tool. Note that I use a little Air Chuck SL inflator and 12 gram cartridges but it all fits with just enough room to slip in a $20 bill. Sci-Con has also now come out with a carbon styled version of the same bag which is sharp.

If you can live with one water bottle you might also look at the Sci-Con Tubo water cage bag or the Soma Stash Bottle - they both fit in a bottle cage and are more spacious.

$30+ ???? My Sci-Con Elan was $9.99 - a dollar more than the sale price in the C'Dale bag.
