Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

This is pretty funny, I'd bet most have thought it but few have actually posted it. I'd like to hear what gear is just bling for bling sake.

I mean come on! We all KNOW it's a LOOK already!!!! You don't need the word "LOOK" on the fork SIX times!!!!! I think they're even worse than Cannondale in terms of writing their name on their frames. It's almost like reading the bible!

Go with a Cervelo instead.

Notice how the word "LOOK" comes up 18 times only on one side of the bike!!!!!

EDIT: Someone already beat me to it while I was adding those highlights to the pic!!!!!

LOOK, LOOK, LOOK, LOOK, LOOK, LOOK, LOOK,....etc..... Annoying as heck isn't it**********
Well, you looked, didn't you? Guess it worked.

Really nice bike however it's hard for me to call it blingy and also accept that you did everything correctly to make it fast.

For example -

404 Clinchers and a very lightweight frame - a no no in the fast catagory.

Also the group is not top of the line for the Manufacturer, another no no. .

nice bike/frameset regardless but just a couple things that keep it out of the blingy zone.

I'd take issue with that premise.

Also it would rule out several Colnagos, and Cervelos (IIRC Canadian comany with Asian manufacturing.)

- 50 for Zipp clinchers, -20 for mismatched zipp stickers, and -1,000 for a chain that looks like you left your bike in the rain for 2 months.

I did rule out several Colnago in my first post, I said no Asian made. I'd even rule out the Pinarello carbons. Never said Cervelos were bling.

Your Giant is sure nice, heck the graphic is better than most European branded bikes (Storck, Canyon, Look, etc.), but I wouldn't consider it bling, YMMV.

As for the chain, I think that's lighting mostly.

As for the Zipps, the rear PT wheel was acquired after the set of 404's and Zipp changed the decals.

As for the clinchers:

Much better! I don't think it's the lighting though with the chain because you can see how black it is in relation to your chainring.

As for the clinchers:

100% better.

when I had my PT it was on a 404 tubular.

I think the 303's look waaay better, or blingy I guess.

Bikes: Kuota Kredo, Litespeed Vortex, Aegis Victory, Burley Tandem, Cannondale Rush

Bling

Look at the Kuota Framesets: Both Kredo and Khan:

Look at Full Carbon Fiber for color, no paint.
Mix w/Black or Black/silver wheels.

Watch them drool.

For maximum bling you must not cut the seat mast no matter badly the bike fits. More drop = more bling.
