No offence intended to bd bicycle owners, I'm usually after a good deal myself, but as a historicly minded retrogrouch, and so the record will reflect that these companies once existed in their own right as manufactures of some great machines.
Real 531DB Dawes coming soon..
Just sayin.........

Not pretending this is the real deal, just a good deal. I wish it had no decals...

I'll have one to post in this thread by the end of next week or so...
I was going to buy a MB Vent Noir but as I get closer to actually buying I'm eyeing the Windsor Knight for just $100 more...
It will be my first real bike and it just seems like the $100 upgrade to go from 105/Tiagra to full Ultegra is a worthwhile upgrade. It's probably more bike than I need, but I just don't want to end up with junk. Both bikes are black anyway, and I'll probably debadge it anyway...
Stay tuned.

You don't have much water left for 126 more miles. And put some tape or something on the wire on the top tube.
I like the sign though, very cool pic.

Look at the tire track behind the seat . . . somebody saw that sign and made an instant u-turn.

Here's mine. It's still in this state but will soon see massive changes before being regulated to rain/training bike.

Today, for the first time, outside of BF,I saw a BD Mercier, stopped to chat and check out the bike. I must say, it was very nice. I would love to have one of these or the Winsdor "The Hour", perhaps a birthday present from my wife?. Nice bikes ya'all.

Believe me, I was worried. But I had some spares in my jersey. And I didn't quite make it the entire 126 miles (and back).

Time to let alanbikehouston down:
This was a Christmas present from my father. He got this idea from a conversation we had back at Thanksgiving about how many bikes I own and what would fill out my collection.

Somewhat of a cross-post from the "what road bike do you have" sticky, but I thought I'd put it in here with the rest.
It is a 2007 Motobecane Immortal Pro, size 62, purchased from Mike at bikesdirect. I got it on a closeout steal of $850. Full CF frame/forks. 105/Ultegra group, FSA SL-K cranks, AC Victory wheels 24/28.
Since I paid a lot less than I was expecting (was originally thinking Tarmac Elite), I had some money left over for upgrades. I changed the Ritchey alloy parts that came on the bike with: FSA SL-K seatpost, FSA OS-99 CSI Stem, Profile Dromo Pro Carbon 'wing' handlebars, wrapped with Deda Elementi white bar tape. I also put on a white Specialized Avatar seat and a pair of Tacx Tao cages.
I have the Crank Brothers Quattro SL pedals from my Sequoia on there now. I'm trying to decide whether to buy a second set of them, or get 2 pairs of Look Keo's. I want the same pedal/cleat on both bikes. I'm also planning on a tire upgrade. Originally I was thinking of the Vredestein Fortezza Tricomp in black/white. I think it'd look sweet until I rode it once, then they would be dirty looking. So, I may opt for some Continental GP 4000s tires instead (the black ones with hollow silver lettering).
It still hasn't seen the road, because it's pretty sloppy outside, so my Specialized Sequoia has been the one getting dirty. There's a couple extra pics below as links, I didn't want to fill up the page linking them all.
More Pics:
Bars & Stem
Saddle
Cranks
Since the pictures were taken, I leveled the seat a little more - thanks to BF members for pointing out I was pointed a little low. I also got in a 53T chainring to swap out with the 50T, but haven't used it yet.

Hyunelan2, what is up with your seat angle?
I kinda want a moto cross bike or a moto mtb to replace my raleigh mtb.
Either way, it's not going to happen. After preliminary thinking, I don't think cross is for me. I'm content with road riding and some tooling around on my mtb every now and then.
Someone please help me get over the 'n+1' curse...
I did own a moto grand record. It was a nice bike at a very reasonable cost. I sold that before buying my cannondale though...

I think it was a bit of photographic perspective making it look more extreme than it really was. Still, I've moved it close to level. I might have to nose it down a notch though - soft tissue is feeling a little too much pressure.
