Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I doubt these folks who claim to be able to feel rolling resistance. I will agree that the ride on the Michelin PR2 seems to be a little .. plusher.

But if the specs claim lower rolling resistance, then I I'll buy it.

Edit: I meant "buy" figuratively ..

Here's a good comparison of rolling resistance (chart at the bottom)

I'm glad you liked yours. They (tangente tubulars) were the worst tire I ever had, I actually considered them to be dangerous. Mine were out of round and caused my entire bike to violently shake. They made the ride miserable for me at any speed over 30 mph. They were not even comfortable at speeds in the 20 mph range. I replaced them with some Veloflex carbon's, what a difference! The Veloflex carbons are by far, without a doubt, the best tire I have ever ridden on. However I don't think that helps the op much since I doubt he is running tubulars.

The only tires I have ever ridden that I consider to be slow are Kenda road tires. I could feel the difference the very first ride I did on them. I don't know what it is but there is a difference. They are comfortable though and I feel that I have pretty decent traction and the flat resistance is fair as well. All around they are nice tires, I just feel slower on them than on other tires that I have ridden.
