It's a Giant.

I posted a Moots dripping with Chris King, Record and plenty of other bling and got roasted.
What makes your Giant so special? ;)

You are bitter that your bike wasn't the hit you thought it was - so you feel better slagging off others and perceived lesser brands - I get it

For you your bike makes up for the deficient size of your appendage so you've thrown cash at it - and you belittle those who haven't spent as much.

I've no such appendage concerns and I'm confident and very happy riding my Giant -Its a fantastic performing bike, weighs 7.5kg, cost a fraction of yours - bang for for Buck it's better - that's why it's special and is considered "HOT"

It's not just about the Brand.

It's all a good laugh!;)

Yep, that is obviously it.
It's a Giant.
Enjoy it if it makes you happy.

In fairness, his bike was very well-received in the "Would you drill it?" thread at dentistbikeforums.net.

Funny thing: I've probably gotten more compliments on my TCX - my least expensive geared bike, than I've received on any of my other bikes, which get their fair share of admiration.

All it has is a gorgeous color, nice proportions, intelligent assembly and a bit of smart graphics. ;) Never understood why anyone would need to read the labels or recognize the manufacturers to determine whether a bike was hot or not.

Pretty much. Overall shape/proportions/set-up are highest on my list. Graphics/paint can move a bike up on my scale more than it can move it down. Brand/componentry level doesn't make or break, but can move the needle a bit.

If I recall correctly you got roasted because of bizarre seat and bar angles that help you go super fast or something...And then didnt handle it in what would be considered a graceful manner lol. Maybe that was someone else, I cant remember. Its cool man, we all make mistakes. For instance I posted a gravel bike here and got destroyed, but I will be back!

That Giant on the other hand is set up perfectly.

It doesn't help that he posted with a google pics link that evidently has the shelf life of room temperature milk that we can't see anymore:

Buying a Giant is like buying a house in the suburbs. Well maybe not exactly as most Giants don't start crumbling due to poor construction after 5 years. Some people don't care if there are 6 houses on their block that are identical to their own.

On that note, here is my gravel/cross bike updated. I changed out the ugly bars and tape. Got a Salsa Cowbell 3 and put Salsa cork tape on. I also swapped over to the Eurus wheels.

Thats a good way of putting it. Giant have incredible experience in building bombproof aluminium frames - superb warranty too.

It does look the same as others being black - though its definitely not identical, The Giant SL1 ALUX (anodised silver) is fairly uncommon bike in the UK and the SLR ALUXX hydro-formed frameset I have was never retailed and only available to dealers. The components I chose to suit my riding and budget. Setup/fit was established with the assistance of a former track/road racer and also trained fitter.

Gratuitous opportunity for another pic so its not all words.

I like the colour! And that it looks to have exactly the same geometry/angles as my TCR (when you overlay the images).

Erm! - perhaps remove the sub branding/logos (rims/stem) and an have an all back saddle/post combo.

I like those ideas. I actually want to black out the FD, pedals, and skewers too, because was built with on hand parts so little by little I will.

I love how he said it was "dripping with Chris King". It had a CK headset. He makes a nice headset(and serves up some mean tri-tip), but that description was just sooo (French for shower).

It looks like they focused on being different, instead of just being better.
