Correct. They are hydraulic.

It's a tough jury in Hot or Not. Overhere it is all about aesthetics: no spacers, no lights, no bags, chain on the right cogs, bars and levers at the right angle, etc., etc., etc. Post your bike in the "what roadbike do you have" topic and you'll find a more lenient crowd.

It must be the angle in the photo. I ride the same size Supersix with saddle in the sky and a stack of spacers, but it looks more proportioned to the wheels.

head tube is 220mm, and the headset top is another 20mm, so it makes the frame look huge.

Being completely honest, I think the bike looks odd.

Honestly, due to the sloping / curved top tube it looks squat in the back, like a hyena.

please give a little explanation.

I agree the bike looks strange, but I don’t see the hyena.

WhyFi 06-27-18 04:31 PM

It's not half as bad as the Specialized squatting dogs.

I think that it's about as hot as a tall bike is gonna get.

Thanks. That’s very nice of you to say.

I love the bike because it actually fits exactly the way I need it to.

It’s a little strange looking to some, but big bikes usually look odd to anyone that isn’t tall.

It's some kind of diagram or sketch of a modern bike for a tall person.

+1. When in the position I think he's envisioning, a hyena is more sloped.

I really like the build up that you have chosen.

Older Bianchi 928. Everything changed out except frame and compression plug. 17lbs as it sitshttps://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...af3960bee.jpeg

For me, Hot.

robbyville 06-30-18 04:29 PM

Other than the cable routing and the levers that seem a titch high it’s lovely. Can those wheels be debadged or are they clear coated?

The saddle looks like you could slide right off it and the frame pump on that bike is a no-no. Warm.

Unfortunately their initial attempt at internal frame routing didn't go well and it's not a very clean look. The headtube is also an unfortunately tall design and it's already slammed with a 2mm topcap and -17 deg stem. If the frame didn't ride so well I'd be in the market for a non endurance geometry frame. The wheel decals are also permanent but hopefully I'll have some full carbon Zipps soon.

robbyville 06-30-18 08:28 PM

Beautiful bike nevertheless, I am sure it rides just as nicely!

I have that same frame, definitely hot to me. Have you tried fitting 28mm tires to that frame? If so, how's the clearance?

I really like the frame, and think the wheels are the right choice. Also kind of like what you did with the bar tape. Cages, ok; frame pump, not sure - I'd want to see the bike in the round, from a more realistic and elevated point of view. Saddle, no; pedals, no; stem, heavens no!

Nice frame, but not (yet).
That gold chain seems really out of place.

cat0020 07-01-18 07:03 AM

A white saddle would make that Foundry much hotter.
