Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I know, I like the Most crankset for the look, but I am worry about the comparability with the Ui2 system.

1. there is not a compatibility issue but not all cranks have rings that are machined as well as shimanos. i hear stronglight rings are great.

2. it is not "ui2" the d does not stand for dura-ace. dura ace wasnt even the first di2 group:

3. enough babble. show us the super record

Need to flip the stem as well and flatten out the handlebar stem angle. Great bike though, I covet.

I changed the handlebar on my Colnago, it has internal cable routing, I disassemble all the cables, I am having hard time to put them together, I will spend some times on it next week.

Finally got a new photo of my bike sporting 7900:

I have a pair of Easton EC-90SLs with the same colour scheme (black with red/white decals) but they're in storage for the winter right now:

Remove the spacers, and cut the steerer, remove the wheel stickers, change the crankset, or possibly the entire group. White hoods would probably look nice on that bicycle as well. As you say it is fine, but those changes would make it hot, so not for now.

With a bike that nice it is just nitpicking at this point. There is always room for improvements and that is what most of us were offering.

There's a general reckoning amongst BF regulars that Shimano cranks look like giant octopi. I personally think the 7900 cranks look great, but everyone has their own opinion

current ultegra and dura ace cranksets are a pretty piece of machining but as a bike part they are ugly. they do not visually blend into most frames.

cannondale, lightning, red, rotor, and campagnolo cranksets all look better without sacrificing performance. besides, this thread is heartless and shallow, in these pages: appearance>performance
