Tychom's Look is hot, but mostly because the frameset colors and bar position. I would have gone with different components all the way around except maybe the stem. The bike needs classic bend handlebars and a Campy groupset. Then it would be HOT.
Btw, what kind of stem is that? |
Ok watever JSS. NOT

http://www.bikeforums.net/showthread...-r-Not/page167 I know you are a great guy and a world renown expert of bike esthetics, and as you see, I flipped it and got rid of the horrible wheel decals as you suggested and as a result of your outstanding guidance and council my ride looks 100% better. I owe you a debt of gratitude!! |
The Look Integrated Stem gets a Hot.
http://www.openobject.org/bits/wp-co...695-c-stem.jpg I'm a steel fan, so CF looks odd to me. But from a standpoint of the dispassionate observer, the stem really fits the lines, design, and paint of the look's frame. Part of the CF aesthetic is that whole smooth bulkiness thing. It works. I like. |
Plus it's a neat idea. You buy your bike, adjust it to fit. No need to buy anything more.

Take another look at Look's site, maybe.
|
|
Here is a picture with the Stem up and Madfiber Logos and the Stem down without logos, it shows how customizable the fit can be. The length of the crank arms can be adjusted by 20mm as well as 10mm on the stem

Very nice. Really shows how nice it is not to have to buy parts depending on the ride. So.. What kind of videos have you shot with that action cam?
|
I like that those cranks can be compact or standard, plus don't weigh much. I'll pass on that stem however.
|
That has to be the hottest Look I've ever seen. It doesn't overdo it with the paint and logos, and I love it from a functional standpoint.

I'm really liking that Look. Not crazy about the stem. Just looks bulky. But functionally, it's pretty cool. And those Mad Fiber wheels.. Wow.

Adjustable peripherals on bikes are just like the Sleep Number beds. Once you get your desirable condition you hardly need to make any changes and the adjustable abject looses its charismatic aura. In this case it is a beginner biker feature.

It's my understanding Lance was contantly making adjustments...Ahhh whats he know, compared to you and all them fancy words!
The other thing this does is allow you to kind of go from Endurance cycling to Speed with a very nice Non squeaking adjustment with very little weight penalty when you ad it up. (the bike is still 13 lbs) |
