Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Right on. There are some good roads out in the country around here. It seems a lot of the motorcycle racers ride bicycles too. It's always nice to ride bikes with new people. All I do in the summer is ride bikes. In the winter, well, I post on BF. haha. Mid Ohio is about 8miles from my house. They have bicycle races there 3 times a year. It's a pretty fun course to race on. Wait a minute what is this thread about again? <thread jack over>

Agreed, but the picture quality is horrendous. That bike deserves some garage door time.

Better pics are always nice, but in the end a hot bike is still a hot bike, right?

What bars/stem/shifters did you go with? Think this thing is going to look amazing when finished.

Going with FSA SL-K bar and stem. As for shifters, Campagnolo Ultra-Shift's.

Gonna be gorgeous, though the teal/blue on the crank is gong to be very distracting to the rest of the bike. White bar tape?

Guess I can repost the Allez in here since it got Carbon cages, and new pedals. The camera wasn't level so the positioning looks weird.

Oh, I get jokes... because his camera's white balance didn't compensate for the LED flash on his camera? That crank isn't teal/blue. It's white.

Haha, no there is a protective film over the crank arm which I haven't removed yet. I have black/red bar tape sitting here, but I might go with white once the bike is completely assembled.

Got ya. I am always a sucker for trick photography! Without any of the Blue, that bike will be Smoking!

definite NOT! where are the real bikes?
Also if you could see the other side you should see chain on the large cog on the rear and on the small chainring in the front. And of course a bike stand is always a no no.

https://www.pedalroom.com/bike/61cm-m...ro-strada-4808
61cm medici pro strada. unsure of the year. if anyone can help me narrow that down id appreciate it. challenge tires are so plush.

https://www.pedalroom.com/bike/61cm-s...p14-track-4578
61cm schwinn p14 from the 70s (custom for rory oreilly) built up as a townie. ive got a super rare 3ttt track set up too for the velodrome, which i havent been to in years. veloflex tires are so plush.

Thanks a bunch! What's wrong with my bag? Gotta have a place for stuff. Is it the way it's angled down? Or should I have taken it off for the pictures?
