Schwinn is Hot. Will look even better with a black stem, I agree.

Haha! Definitely not a sustained situation! I'm sure I look pretty cool pedaling that fast though. :speedy:
(I should point out that I weigh ~215lbs, so give me a nice long hill and even coasting I can get up there.)

Incidentally, have you noticed a decent improvement w/ the Zipps?

Hot except for the red tires and bar tape. Are those steel, titanium, or aluminum lugs? Either way, it looks great.

Not missing a space. Here's a closer look.

That Schwinn comfirmed that I want red hoods!! Thank you for that!

This bike is totally HOT!

The red bar tape looks weird though. I like the rest of the red accents.

Wut. Really? What's wrong with it? It was a spur of the moment shot. ;)

Sorry - I was just yanking your chain a little. As this thread has gone on we sort of came up with some rules to photograph the bike. Chain needs to be in the big chain ring (some say big in front, small in back), crank arm has to be aligned with chain stay, bike has to be against even background (garage door), ect...

Rob13 05-09-12 02:51 PM

New Addition :)
Orbea Orca
Full SRAM Red
Thomson Masterpiece Setback seat post
Selle Italia SLR Carbonio Saddle
Mavic Ksyrium Wheels
Look Keo Blades
3T Ergonova Team Bar and Stem

not, too boring.

NWS Alpine 05-09-12 03:05 PM

Hot but would be smoking with some of your deep carbon wheels on it for the picture.

Chop it like it's hot too.

Was going to put my Cosmic Carbone SLR on it, but didn't want to go through the hassle, maybe later.

No worries. Totally respect your shots & opinion. Yeah, I knew about the big chain (stated on the original post). I did have other shots against the wall. Just looked a little boring.

Thanks all for the comments on the Schwinn! I'll be changing out the stem very, very soon! Looking forward to riding her as she was in the shop for 1-1/2 week to get the right shifter replaced under warranty.

Thanks, I was debating between white, black and red bar tape... Maybe time to try white.
The lugs are aluminum.

Tough crowd.

Hot Orbea. Love the color combo especially with the 3T Ergonova handlebars. 14.8 lbs? What year & size is it? Yours is definitely lighter than mine. Only one water bottle cage though? The wheels are fine but some carbons wouldn't hurt. :)

alexaschwanden 05-09-12 03:54 PM

It looks nice.

^i think its hot.

if you end up taking more pictures of the bike you should take them on a day when its kind of cloudy out (or sunny but the bike is in complete shade). Then adjust the white balance on the camera accordingly (usually signified as an icon for sunny/shade/cloudy/indoor lighting). Then prop the bike up against a monotone background (WHITE GARAGE DOOR for example) with about 5-10 feet of space between the background and bike.

that way you get that bike's colors to jump out and that nice shallower depth of focus (focus primarily on the bike and slightly blurry background) to further accentuate the bike.
