I would like to see it with black tape, black pedals and de-stickered rims.I think the frame would then standout more rather than getting lost in all of the back and forth color changes.

Prevailing breeze. The Evo is that light :)

I like it better. With that one change my eye was drawn more to the frame rather than bouncing all around the bike.

Just washed it and had to take a pic, too bad it came out blurry but I'm sure you get the idea of it. I have a racing seat that isn't comfortable so the one on there is just temporary, and new mavic pedals.

Functional, but definitely not hot.

Yeah I mean I don't even see a shadow of anything holding it up. If it's Photoshop it was a GOOD Photoshop job.

Ya, the blue doesn't go well. It would be hotter if I kept the black/green frame (revenio 3.0 original) but all the sizes were to small for me.

EnzoRWD 01-31-13 11:28 AM

some new wheels. Yes, I forgot to line up the valve stems. Yes I know the bar/lever angle is a bit off, those Criterium bars are tricky to get comfy with ergolevers. Yes, I'm really tall.

Hot.

Thanks for the saddle.

I don't see anything that would point to it being shopped. I think it's the ol' balance-the-bike-let-it-go-hurry-and-snap-the-pic-and-grab-it-before-it-falls method.

chrissss 01-31-13 12:27 PM

Whoa thanks for all the love.

Bike is held up with a stick and shopped out.

Wheels are Reynolds Forty Six tubies.

Weight without cages and pedals is 13.27 lbs.
Not bad for a sturdy build that I have no problems mashing on everyday.

May I ask how much you have into it? If you don't care to share that's cool. It will likely just reinforce the fact that I'll never be able to afford something like that anyway lol :p

PatrickGSR94 01-31-13 01:48 PM

ah well that ain't bad considering the caliber of bike it appears to be. Still more than I can afford, pal (slight F&F movie reference lol) :P

Nice photo skills. Even without the use of a SLR camera, this build is HOT.

Very close. In addition to the bar/lever setup the setback Thomson post looks off with the rest of the build.

Deda makes a silver post (RS 01) with some setback and a two bolt design, so you could stick with the Italian theme if you're not into the VO or Ritchey Classic options.

From the waist down a very hot bike. Those wheels are the business.

+1
That Cinelli is hot as is, but just a "proper" setback post (and perhaps black saddle and bar tape) from smokin' hot. I love those H Plus Son's on that bike. Super classy build :thumb:

It's a nice bike, and is probably comfy. It has hot potential, but the cables/tires don't do anything for me - they throw everything off (Red or black, perhaps?), and there's something not aesthetically pleasing to my eye about the bars/brifters. They look disproportiately HUGE - it could be the pic. Plus, the saddle is set WAY too far "nose up" and too far back on the rails.

My vote is to go with red or black cables, level the saddle out, and go with black tires. That would get you closer to "hot"
Still, it's a nice bike ;)

jtwilson 01-31-13 05:12 PM

I like the white saddle and tape on the Cinelli, but the seatpost has to go. I recommend the Nitto 686. I have one on my vintage bike, and it is a work of art with a great single bolt clamp. Also, the bars look to be in the right position, but the levers need to be moved up to make the hoods level.

I don't believe you.

List of components & links to where they can be purchased so cheaply - so I can build one, please.
