2012 Felt Z85. Dork disc still on there, don't really care haha. Will probably switch out the free aluminum bottle cages for some plastic or composite ones.

Not. Dork disc still on and stem up with a lot of spacers.

Not sure what the big deal is with Traitor bikes - haven't heard of them before. Looks like a nice enough bike but not hot for me. The card in the spokes doesn't help.

That's how I was fit to the bike. However I was getting a little pain between my shoulders on today's ride after only about 10 miles or so. I may try dropping the spacers or something, see what happens.

Not one? I find that hard to believe.

I think that he's lookin' for the saddle flyin' high and the stem slammed.

PatrickGSR94 10-03-12 01:21 PM

Interesting seeing the differences in saddle height between all those bikes, looking at where the saddle is in relation to the concrete block mortar joint behind it, which is 40 inches above the ground.

You also have to account for BB height and crankarm length, so it can vary from bike to bike for the same person.

I wouldn't necessarily vote HOTTT, but I will say it's very classy and that I like it a lot! I almost bought a Traitor Exile frame off ebay to build up myself, and they seem to go cheap as it's not that well known a brand... :thumb:

As far as looks go...isn't that a requirement? :P

Lol...a dead giveaway for me is the tape marking the insertion point. Knowing me...I'd forget to pull the tape before snapping the pic.

The post your bike thread often has nicer bikes.

He got banned? This is news to me. I ahve been not playing on Bike forums too much as of lately. I'm not saying that he shouldn't have been banned at least due to about 5 other threads. With this thread, he was pretty much dead on in regards to shooting a bike for "curb appeal"

Herbie53 10-03-12 07:41 PM

those BMC TT bikes are hot. Lowcell's was not a fluke.

Anyone seen Lowcell?

I wonder if BMC will get criticized as much as Trek for locating brakes below the chainstay? I bet not. The road bike in the top photo has them located there, and of course the TT bike does as well.

If the right company releases such a feature, it is a marvel in innovation. If Trek does it, it is a gimmick that surely won't last.

Beautiful bikes, by the way! I give them both a "hot!"

Dunno how the BMC is done, but I think the detail on how trek mounted the brake there is the issue. It has a cover over it that makes adjustment/maintenance a super PIA. http://www.trekbikes.com/us/en/bikes...d_concept_9_5/

I have a Jamis TT bike that has the brake under there. It's is exposed, but not all the difficult to work on.

PatrickGSR94 10-03-12 08:28 PM

I don't understand, what's the controversy about having the rear brake under the chain stays? Seems like a neat idea to me.

Hard to adjust if your wheel goes out of true while riding. You'll have to stop and F with it…also tough to open it if your wheel is really bad or tighten it if you need.

He had some nice bikes, particularly the BMC and Colnago. The rest are ok. But I believe he didn't own these all at once, noted by the components and wheels. He just probably bought new frame sets and swapped out the components. Who knows I maybe wrong, to make me a believer, I would've lined them up and took a pic. I myself built quite a few HIGH END bikes this past year, but would be redundant to keep them all, if I had I would've been kicked out of the house and divorced.

I recall seeing a pic with more than a few (4? 5?) lined up together.

bianchi10 10-03-12 10:05 PM

Whatever happened to him? Was be banned? Also haven't heard or seen 2ndgen, he get banned also?

Mike F 10-03-12 10:25 PM

UCIMBZ was banned and 2ndGen hasnt been back "voluntarily" since his collective "beat down" several months back I think.

Also means you can't get a 'magic spanner' from the team car when you get dropped. I suppose they could adjust the saddle instead...
