I agree, I think that would make a big difference

damnit, forgot to put the chain on the big ring!

bianchi10 03-21-13 06:48 PM

Not. put it on the big ring :p

Hot, nice job getting the Gatorskin logo opposite the wheel logo and nice picture.

It's DA/Ultegra so we can forgive the chainring mistake :)

thanks for noticing! the cold weather + this thread has made me a little OCD (and bored when I'm home staring at the bike) so I've been fidgeting with it everyday.

My wife gets a kick out of me waxing it every few days with my $50/jar car wax. Once it gets warmer, I'm going to ride the heck out of this thing!

I do the same thing... obsess about keeping it clean in cool weather but then in the summer I say WTH... too busy riding it.

LesterOfPuppets 03-21-13 07:17 PM

I vote back in black, although it looks a little puffy in the pic.

sloar 03-21-13 07:20 PM

Uh oh! Speed sensor is on the wrong side...

Yup I am loving the black in the way it hides the dirt! The tape is Specialized Bar Phat 4.5mm Gels- feels very puffy indeed. Not sure if I like the thick bar yet.

The front sensor? You'll have to forgive my noob placement of electronics :)

Next pic will be mounted on the correct side....

Have the steerer cut and remove the water bottles, then repost.

It's lukewarm right now.

Cut the extra steerer tube, switch to a black stem, level the saddle, lose the bottles, ditch the valve caps, put it in the big ring, and keep the white tape (go with Fizik, keeps clean and cleans well when dirty) and you will be closer to hot.

bianchi10 03-21-13 07:28 PM

take out the water bottles, cut stem, and flatten out the saddle.

YOJiMBO20 03-21-13 07:28 PM

Also, welcome to the forums and all that jazz.

Next pic: without water bottles, speed sensor swapped sides.

As regards the steerer: Are people slamming and just getting used to the riding position?

YOJiMBO20 03-21-13 07:32 PM

Cut the steerer above the stem.

bianchi10 03-21-13 07:32 PM

TDRILL-

This is what your bike would look like with a slammed and flipped 6 degree stem (I used the same one you have). I personally think it looks MUCH gooder....

I see you also took the Garmin off the stem, bianchi...

But I agree. Much more gooderer.

Don't ****ing do that. If you're comfortable with the height it's at now, cut the excess steerer. When you feel like experimenting, slide it down but leave the excess until you're sure you're comfortable with the new position.

Thank you! Loving the bikes on here although I fear for my credit card's safety.

All taken on board- thanks for the advise. Will borrow a friends black stem for trial and also will take a look at fizik white tape.

bianchi10 03-21-13 07:40 PM

maxdre-I wonder how your bike would look with white hoods if you kept the black bar tape.
