My 2007 Specialized Tarmac Expert. Frame, that is. Everything else has been upgraded including a custom carbon seat post, the original was a very bad functional and aesthetic design. Full Sram Red/Black drivetrain, ROL 58m Carbon Wheels, FSA carbon compact handlebar w internal routing, Oval Concepts carbon stem w Ti faceplate, Toupe Ti team saddle, Zero Gravity Ti brakes. Lots of tiny details i.e. SRAM red annodized cable ferrules, red chainring bolts, custom color matching handlebar end plugs, carbon front derailleur clamp. This was my winter project and just stretched her legs this past weekend and it is scary fast. I passed up nearly every rider on my regular course and I didn't even train that hard over the winter. I shaved off over four pounds in the upgrades and the ceramic bearings all around ultimately made the difference. I have yet to install my Speedplay Ti pedals with my S-Works shoes, that should help the pedal power as well. CAN'T WAIT FOR THE WEEKEND!!! http://bikeforums.net/attachment.php...hmentid=308596http://bikeforums.net/attachment.php...hmentid=308597

For the sake of argument who seriously uses cash anymore? I've been carrying around the same 5 $20 bills in my wallet for the past 2 months.

My wife and I do, all the time. But we used debit a lot, also.

I still carry cash also. Especially for those group dinners. The one that uses the card is the one that typically gets screwed.

Very nice! Have you ever checked out the Lew's? I believe they have gone out of business but their wheels are sooooo drool worthy.

Paul Lew is working for Reynolds now. The Reynolds RZR's are essentially Lew wheels (but improved since then).

Good to know. Those RZR's look sweet but not as sweet as his 850 gram wheels that I drool over. :D

You are going to have to turn it around and properly stage it to get a hot. I will say that bike is begging for some deep carbon rims.

If it's sheer low weight you seek, Dash Cycles out of Colorado has a 780g wheelset for a mere $2900. Almost thought about getting them.

Ahh, sorry about that, new to the forum. Will have to grab that shot at another time...

If that is the saddle height you ride at, then you might want to think about a bigger frame.

And yes, give us some pictures from the other side.

Good god, man! If you want to wiggle your toes, how long does it take for the message to travel from your brain all the way down? ;)

Nice lookin' bike, but the amount of seat post is almost comical.

For some reason the saddle height looks exaggerated in that photo, no idea why. Bike fits perfect...

bianchi10 04-04-13 06:39 AM

I find it hard to believe that it is exaggerated by the photo. Thats a good 350mm showing, how much do you have down in the frame? I'm not making judgement because none of us know you, but my first thought is that a larger frame would fit you better. You say it fits good now, which maybe it does, but having a larger frame means you wouldn't have to glue 2 seat posts together to make it fit.

bianchi10 04-04-13 06:40 AM

Not. WTF is up with that seat post? Those bars look funky. And I just dont like all red bikes.

I always thought it was a lot too, but I had a Serotta fit done and all the numbers are right. I'm 6'-5", and that's BMC's largest frame. The seat post can actually come out a bunch more before it's limit. When I picked the bike up, the BMC rep was at the shop and said it was perfect and most of the BMC's usually show some more post. All of their stock photos look the same as mine actually...

I was just giving you a hard time;) I'm glad to hear it fits you well. I guess at 6'5", something on your bike is bound to look a bit out of purportion.

Oh it's all good, no worries. Like I said, I thought it looked funny at first too, and that photo makes the bike look shorter and taller for some reason. I'll have to snap a couple better pics soon :)

I'm to broke to seek anything, I'm purely in drool mode at this point. :D

Plus, I'm too fat to ride anything that nice.

Okay, that right there is just funny. Well done!

Thank goodness, a "noobie" (post wise) with a sense of humor. You are going to fit in great around here.

It looks like you could have used a bit more head tube so you could flip it / lose some spacers. Have you had a full fitting? Maybe you'll be able to get lower with time. I'm 6'4" and on a ~58cm with the front pretty low. I have a shortish torso and spider monkey arms.

What's bad is that it really is a nice bike. I'm not sure if it is the photo or what but it's getting a not from me as well.

With this particular bike I think that it looks better with the unflipped stem than it would with additional spacers. I think with a proper photo that bike is going to be hot as hell.
