Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

De Rosa not, needs black tape to be hot in my books.

Pink bike, maybe hot.

Not.

Chainring, housing length, and lever position confuses me.

I'm guessing that you calling his De Rosa a Rosetti is a deeper cut than the 'not.'

Had the bike 6 months now, mini-upgrade session. Replaced seatpost and stem to perfect fit, thomson elite + x2. Also snagged a couple nice real CF cages cheap. I am digging the white cages much more than the old black ones.

Understand the feeling. My recommendation is to get clipless pedals and if you stop often, that just means you'll learn quickly. The only other option is to never go clipless, which isn't an option, imo. You'll fall once or twice, everyone does, and it will hurt your ego more than your body and you'll learn and be an old experienced fogey in no time.

Fire truck is cool, but unfortunately makes for a SUPER busy background that makes it hard to make out the bike's details.
