As many as it takes...

Definitely not.

As a fellow F2 owner, I'm sorry it's not hot, but it isn't. If you don't want (or can't) spend the money on a pro fit, just get on youtube and search for bike fit, and there is a lot of things that you can learn. You may need to do the rough adjustment at home, then ride it for a little, then pay for the pro fit. Right now, as a beginner, you don't know what feels right or wrong... Just my .02.

Absolutely agree...I plan to hit my LBS for a proper fit on it in the next week. I already signed up for a century in October, and being a newbie want to learn to ride the right way, regardless of costs. I already adjusted the bars and seat...already notice a HUGE difference in riding from when I took this pic.

I've got nothing against the pink, but the frame is hideous, the bars are rotated too far down, and the whole thing looks like a hipster's fixie with Campy and Rival.

Dang, didn't know how bad it was LOL...I am new to road biking, should I just take this to a shop so they can adjust it properly? So basically just lower the front bar? Sorry, EXTREME newbie here.

The typical trend for a road bike newbie is to have the seat low and bar high so that they are "comfortable". I hate to say this but if you want to be comfortable, a road bike is not for you. I have ridden a road bike briefly with the seat down and bars high and it was AWFUL simply because I'm not in the proper position to put any power down.

It's fine if you want a higher bar position starting out, because you're most likely not going at speeds where "aerodynamics" is an important factor. Once you get faster (cruising at 20+mph) you will want to be lower. Just make sure the seat is high enough so that you're getting a good leg extension with just a slight bend at the knee.

Is that the current kit the Bicycle Haus has for sale?

I want one of their kits but it doesn't appear you can buy from website. I'll stop in when I'm there next month.

bmcphx 04-25-13 05:18 AM

No that's the race team kit

Hi, probably redundant, but all are hot:

BTW, the Ridley could be hotter. I have no problem with the pink (obviously) but I think the red clashes with the pink, though not enough to cool its basic hotness.

This photo definitely helped. Other photo was not hot.

It almost sounds like some folks are rating the photos as hot or not, instead of the bikes themselves.

While the BMC definitely looks hot in the pic of it being ridden as it should be, how is it any different from the stationary pic?

It has long been the case that the quality of the photo factors in the decision.

For me, even though it is not sitting against a white garage, the photo of him riding it shows the bike off more than the grainy, bright and bad angle photo of it sitting stationary. I find these photo's to be a case by case situation. Sometimes it can help, sometimes it wont. FOR ME, it helped a lot and got a hot.

I was thinking ehhhhhh...

then I saw the lady sticker, saddle bag, and elite bottle cages.

sorry dude, 100% no go on that one. No saddle bag shall ever touch a road bike!

YOJiMBO20 04-25-13 05:51 PM

You lock it up in the office?

bmcphx 04-25-13 05:52 PM

looks like it's only a theft deterrent for those too lazy to pick it up.

SpeshulEd 04-25-13 05:59 PM

2pts for the lady sticker!

Also curious about locking it up in the office?
