A black crank would make it better I'm sure. Since I cut the steerer and removed the 3 and a half spacers from on top, the saddle to bar drop looks minimal. Can bikes in the triple digit price range be hot? :D

Sorry, Not..

I like the Fuji, that's a good looking ride!

NathanC 06-12-13 05:38 PM

Fuji, while set up well, is a bit plain to be hot.

Its okay I can buy something hot when I'm retired 40 years from now. Until then I'll just ride/race the wheels off this thing. Reds not my color but it is the fastest :D

yes, but this Fuji as shown just isn't one of them...i'm glad you enjoy riding it, however, and you have the young legs that can overcome in the inherent slowness of the red paint job...

the fit looks a little confusing...saddle full forward and a very long looking stem

Blame the camera, the saddle is actually all the way back on the stop mark, the stem is a 120mm.

Its my opinion so yes just to me. I'm not speaking for everyone. They are suggestions based on what I would do.

Serious?? Interested to hear your opinion. Is it because you favor S-Work cranks or is the new Shimano crank ugly in your opinion??? I think these new 9000's are pretty hawt! Major blingage! Of course, my opinion. ;)

i don't quite agree, i like the white accennt on the other one. don't really get the whole murdered look, which doesn't really work imho because of the white S-works lettering.

Would be interesting to see this with a white saddle and bar tape.

Its not that I think they suck. They are among the best. I'm talking strictly aesthetics. I have never liked the shimano line up. They always stick out like a sore thumb, rarely blending in with the rest of the bike. There are many other options that will give you great performance and look better IMO. when I say look better, I like sleek simplified cranks. The hollowgram chainrings are gawdy to me. functionally, they are great though.

Just curious bianc, what's your favorite crankset in terms of aesthetics?

bianchi10 06-13-13 08:29 AM

Cdale SiSl2 with spider rings

kcollier5 06-13-13 08:51 AM

^ Wow, really. I see what you're saying about the color of the Shimano crankset on that black S-works, but I personally much prefer the simpleness of design of the Shimano over the Spider rings. They are way too busy/overdone to me. The Shimano is well designed, imo, although I do prefer the Red crankset on Whooosh's S-works (on that particular bike it looks better)

bianchi10 06-13-13 09:00 AM

Cdale sisl 2 cranks are my first choice but second would be sisl1 with praxis chainrings.

On the s works, I think a rotor crank would look saweet.

I love this era of bike, but i know that this thread chews up bikes like this and spits them out.

Old gals have to be extra hot to compete here... that bar tape DQ's this one, I think.

Yeah, I saw it, but the Zipps kill the idea I had. Murdered out except S-Works, saddle and bar tape...
