Atta boy. Everything seems just ok!? You just got a sweet new bike and just took it for a spin, it should feel AWESOME!

Definitely deserves a better quality picture.

I would leave the crankset alone. It's not worth the cost at this point. Ride it and enjoy. This winter (if you have one where you are at) remove the wheel decals and go all black bar tape. It will clean things up and make the frame stand out.

Had a hard time getting used to 105 shifters...and the new look pedals...and there was a rattling sound coming from the front wheel..hence the just OK...

Ok, she is finally presentable (i think). no more planned changes, except using my ultegra 6700 wheels instead of these power tap wheels. cant decide which i like better with the bike.

Not bad for a Trek.

Put it in the right gear combo and put a lower rise stem on (if you can reach) and we'll see where things go.

bianchi10 07-16-13 10:59 PM

Lower rise? I believe that's a flipped and slammed 6 deg.

YOJiMBO20 07-16-13 11:05 PM

I realize that, but it still looks happy to see me.

gc3 07-17-13 06:54 AM

The custom paint job saves the Trek in my opinion. While the Ultegra is highly functional, a black crankset would look soooo much better in this case.

runningDoc 07-17-13 07:39 AM

If you look at the headtube of the trek it's like 1/3rd the height of the more modern cervelos and specialized. I guess the -6 deg stem is still lower than a -10 deg slammed stem on a cervelo rs tall headtube.

ethan.g75 07-17-13 08:18 AM

bianchi is correct, that is indeed a 6 degree stem, in the negative position. I did ride a -10 for a bit but i found that when i stood up to climb with my hands on the hoods, it didn't feel natural.

Gc3 I had a black crankset but because i am getting a stages power meter, I had to go with the ultegra.

yojim, what is the correct gear combo?

bianchi10 07-17-13 10:45 AM

Correct gear combo for Picts is large ring front small ring rear

Then I raced that night. Sorry, not the greatest, but it's all I could get from them.

Not sure, but I'm guessing it was a chainring that did the saddle.

Back together.

How about matching tires?

PatrickGSR94 07-17-13 01:00 PM

Not for me... I dunno, just looks too plain or something.

No fun, and expensive to boot!

I posted this a year or so ago, and it had Red cranks, with the grey colored chain ring. It was suggested to go black, so I figured I would get a pic with Quarg set-up, and some races under its belt. Little did I know!

Should I go with black saddle/tape, white saddle/tape, or white saddle/pink tape?

Bike is still hot and awesome LAJ.

Did the saddle get attacked by a shark?... were you racing in a sharknado?
