Hey guys,
This is my first post here, but I've been lurking for a while. My name is Thomas, and I recently graduated from UBC and UGR, now I work for Microsoft in Boulder, CO.
Without further ado, my Bianchi Eros road bike. It's a replacement for a Cannondale Synapse with 10s 105 components that got stolen while I was in school.

  • Cinelli stem
  • San Marco Ponza saddle
  • Knock-off Chinese carbon tubulars
  • Knock-off Chinese 'aero' Campy seat post
  • Vittoria Open Corsa Evo CX tires

She's a dream to ride, and I love her. You guys may not, haha.
I did have the frame powder coated and got new decals for it. :)

My favorite ingredients. Vintage steel, campy 10, and modern wheels. Nicely executed too.

very hot.

Great looking bike! Very classy. I envy you. Been looking for a clean ten speed bianchi for a while. That's a keeper

gc3 11-28-13 03:36 PM

That's the best Bianchi that I've seen in a while. Much better looking than their new product....

MajorMantra 11-28-13 03:48 PM

Very nice Bianchi. Do you race it?

The Stealth Guru is super hot! The Bianchi is perfect.
I just built up this years race bike. FMO15 ISP, with a Sram s900 crank, the rest is just a bunch of spare parts. Spacers will be gone asap.

That's a pretty decent batch of spare parts.

Is this the bike that.used.to.have the Icycle decal?
I still think its hot if it is.
What cages are those, they're very interesting.

Ohmannuel 11-28-13 09:36 PM

No, this is a new bike. I got tired of the Incycle logos and the cover up was not working for me. So I got this and I'm selling the Caad 10. The cages are awesome, they're aluminum and they are called T-one and they are only 24g. Best part they cost $11.

This is from another forum, I absolutely love it!

A little over a year ago I placed an order with Ricky Feather at the Bespoked bike show at Bristol. About six months later Ricky invited me up to his workshop just outside of York to be measured for the bike and to discuss the build. I pretty much left it to him after that.
The idea was for an everyday bike that was a little more comfortable than my Enigma and to be for long days in changeable weather so fenders were a must. I told him how I liked the look of lugged steel frames of times gone by and knowing that Ricky builds exclusively with steel I knew he would take this on and add his spin to things.
He hand carved the Richards Sachs "Nuovo Richie" lugs and built the frame up using Columbus "XCR for lugs" tubing, the paint scheme is based on a really cool 1968 Porsche 911R custom built by Magnus Walker which I saw in a short documentary about Magnus called Urban Outlaw which was released whilst Ricky was building the frame.
The build is Campag Chorus, Nitto Mod 177 Noodle bars, Mick "Busyman Cycles" recovered Fizik Arione and bar tape with imbedded blue dots to match the theme of the frame paint scheme. I built the wheels using Royce hubs laced all round with a 28 hole 3 cross spoke pattern using CX-Ray spokes to join with the H Plus Sons Archetype grey anodized rims which are currently running Vittoria CX pro clinchers tyres with latex tubes. When the fenders are off I use 25mm FMB Paris Roubaix tubs on another set of wheels I built which are again Royce hubs but this time laced to Nemesis rims with CX-Ray spokes. The stem is a custom built Feather Cycles 17 degree, 120mm long nickel plated and brushed finished. Pinstriped Honjo 36mm fenders built into the standard drop brake setup completes the build.
I picked the bike up after this years Bespoked and have covered just under 3,000 miles since. It is such a sweet ride, I've barely covered 10% of the same distance on my Enigma since !!!
Anyway, enough waffle, pictures !!!

I think I would go with a white flite and matching tape, but still very nice.

samuraiwarrior2 11-29-13 08:03 PM

Wow, thanks you guys for the comments, I expected harsher comments
Anyways, I haven't raced it, I'm just now starting to get back into it. Went for 20mi today, pretty fun ride! I'd like to race, or at least do some of the longer tours coming up next year in Colorado (RtR, BTC, etc.).

IthaDan, that's looking pretty sharp. I really wanted a pair of Shamals for my Bianchi!

Alextaylor, another sick bike...lugged steel is something special.

Really nice looking bike... hot! The only thing I don't like are the warning sticker on the fork and size sticker on the seat tube. Is that the serial number on a sticker on the downtube?
