How's everyone been? :)

I haven't even been lurking on this thread as I've had to parse my online time between more and more sites and topics. I recently had to hunker down and put together a bike that I'd been promising to assemble for almost a year. I'm the original owner of the frame and the parts were mostly on my TT bikes of years past.

1990 Stowe Triad with 2005 Campagnolo Chorus-10 components:

Paint is original and headset, stem, and bars are from the original build. Rest of it is a mash of "modern" and vintage stuff.

BTW, I am not typically a fan of Guru bikes but @Herbie53 Guru is HOT.

Thanks, and that's yet another hot bike in your bunch.

Would be so much hotter with a black setback seat post.

Thanks for the 'hot.' Stowe custom painted the Silca pump and a friend gave me the Campagnolo metal pump head. The pump is on there for show since Silca pumps were prone to breaking if you actually used them. ;) The seat post is an early 1980s SunTour Superbe Pro model that is a nod to the age of the frame and has (arguably) the best clamp design of all time.

Think you've watched Breaking Away one too many times. ;) (Though the Cinzano guy probably did use a Silca pump in that scene.)

See my seat post comment above.

BTW, I built this back up with a minimum of new parts. The list of new parts is:

1) Fizik handlebar tape
2) Jagwire Shift cable housing
3) Campagnolo front and rear cable housing (new, but left over from another build)
3) Omni braze-on derailleur adapter clamp

Everything else is used, including tubes (with patches), tires, and cables.

A really nice looking and appointed bike! I would only change the decal or painted name FISHER to blue from black to match the color theme of the bike. I like those foul weather fenders. Very nice too. And, the stem is lovely, reminds me of Litespeed stems from some time ago. Oh and yes, Campy... wonderful!

You know, it doesn't have any bands on it, like rock bands, band aids, or those little metal bands they put on birds' legs etc.

What about the fenders?

Hot.
You can afford that BMC, DuraAce, and Enve's, but not a Quarq or SRM?

Thanks for the great feedback. IME, Quarqs are not the most reliable and SRM doesn't have their PC8 available yet. Secondly, using a SRAM crank on a DA bike would be a tragedy. I've used almost every type of powermeter out and I've been completely happy with the Stages; it's extremely light, more than accurate for interval and pacing purposes and it's inexpensive.
