In this case, photos of your riding in the drops are necessary before a hot or not verdict can be issued:-)

Based off of what? It will be hard to find a larger frame that allows him that bar drop without a custom or track stem. It's not like he has a stack of spacers.

At the end of the day harun is winning races so I'll assume he has an idea of what he is doing. It woukd be different if he was some newbie who just started riding. Not a set up I can do or would want but its not my bike.

As impossibly painful as this looks, it makes sense. As guys seek increased drop, short of a custom frame, they don't have many options but to go to smaller frames which have proportionally shorter TTs. So, the out of proportion long, negative angle stem makes sense.

The BMC doesn't make as much sense. It's a GF/endurance geometry frame with increased HT and decreased TT. To pair that with a long, negative angle stem just doesn't seem right. You could achieve the same position with a more customary race geometry (slightly lower HT, longer TT) and more moderate stem.

Anyhow, that's just my take on it. I like both bikes. Harun's would land in my category of "sorted" and "purposeful", but, not hot. Well, not without a front lit shot at least. The BMC I like and previous to building my rediculous proportional crank frame I considered their GF frames as a possible next bike. But, it's hard for a GF/endurance frame to garner a "Hot" designation.

We've been over Jens' fit over and over again on these forums. Most amateurs and even a reasonable percentage of the pro's can't accommodate such positioning. Harun stated in the Black Bike thread that he's invested in excess of an hour a day stretching and foam rolling for a year in order to accommodate such a position. 7 hrs/wk dedicated to stretching isn't realistic for most of us. But, if we could, it would certainly aid our bikes in looking hot.

My point is...
"What works for 1, may not work for another."
Doesn't have anything to do with looking hot.

This thread is all about staging/looks, & nothing to do with proper fit.

How many bikes here have received "HOT" votes and how many "NOT" votes. Could one of you brainiacs research that and report back?
