Go ahead and start one. But don't be too confident.

Your garage doors are horrible, it is wrong side of the bike, and there is saddle bag on it.
Fix all that and we can talk about it.

Finally have a bike I'm not too afraid to post...

New pics will come when I get proper bottle cages, another spacer for lowering the stem the rest of the way, and take the decals off the wheels.

Sangetsu 06-05-14 12:20 AM

Sadly enough, this is not my bike, it belongs to a 70-year-old car mechanic. Fixies are still quite popular here in Tokyo, and this old oji-san decided to upgrade his wife's old 24" grocery bike into something more "クール." I wouldn't call it クール or かくいい, but it is definitely unique...

Not. That position doesn't look very aero either.

You need a zero setback seat post. You have the seat slammed forward on that thing.

dtrain 06-06-14 09:54 AM

So much potential in that CAAD10...

Sorry to add another voice of negativity, but I've got to say Not. The yellow highlights are nice, and I like that the graphics are minimal. But the frame angles look all wrong. I'm a fan of the Look brand, but I think they missed the mark here. The frame looks a little front-heavy, and the odd abbreviated upward-sweeping angles, combined with almost not saddle-to-bar drop makes it look like a hybrid trying to be a road bike, or a road bike imitating a hybrid. Not to mention the uneven and heavy-handed glue job with too-long valve stems. Bet it rides nicely though.

Not a fan of the aero bars, but that bike is still hot IMHO.

What kind of cassette is that? 12-32? That's some seriously low gearing.

Zero setback would bring the saddle at least 10mm forward from the current position, even if it was slammed back on the new post. A 15-20mm setback post would be about right.

haha damn you guys really pay attention to details ;-) Responses are in order of comments :

The "lack of aero" position is because the bike is fitted for long distance triathlons (180km/110miles on the bike - no stops).

The set back is simply because I was being cheap... you caught me ;-) Got a great deal on the k-force set but it came with the setback seatpost. Don't really mind it since I still get the right fitting with the seat placed really forward.

Hey Raedyn, I've been building up this bike for 2 years now and I just finished it this week. Thanks for the vote its appreciated ! :)

Dan333SP : impressive ! didn't think for a second that someone would notice. Exactly right, 11-32. My playground includes some ridiculous hill. What can I say, I'm a climber ;-) But this used to be a 10 speed bike so upgrading to 11 speed the 32 cassette is simply a bonus. Turns out I wouldn't go back.

I got the same bike. I'll have to hotten it up a little first, but I'll post a pic soon.

I disagree with all the criticism of the Look. Different is better, even to be sought after. And the overall impression is mean and aggressive in my opinion.
