https://fbcdn-sphotos-a.akamaihd.net...83420285_n.jpg As far as the tires go, this is coming from someone that runs tubulars 100% exclusively and has been doing so for years. Get rid of the Continental tires. They are chit at best as far as feel go, which is pretty much the only reason these days to run tubulars. They are a very harsh ride. Running Continental tubulars on carbon wheels is like putting tractor tires on a Ferrari!!! Veloflex Carbons, although a bit more expensive and have less mileage in comparison, are by far leaps and bound above Continentals. Somewhere in between is the Vittoria Corsa EVO, which is what I am running on all my wheels sets these days. Just a couple of buck above Continental, and yet light years ahead in feel and grip as well. |

I always wonder when I see a bike with that much steerer tube above the stem if that is the true riding position, or if the stem was slammed to make it more BF approved.

The S Works needs flipped, and slammed. Steerer needs cut down. Saddle bag needs to be burned. Then the wheels, and crankset need to be staged properly. If you imagine it, it wouldn't look too bad that way. |

That said, I don't think that is the case with the Parlee. I'm sure he would have a standard 6 or 7 degree stem if he didn't need that much drop, but the fact he has that aggressive stem should mean he does need to have it slammed and hasn't gotten around to cutting the steerer, or just doesn't want to. |

also: i've decided that many of you people have a weird definition of "hot." that parlee is a really nice bike and it's pretty uncommon, but i don't see what's so exciting from a purely aesthetic point of view. to each his own, though! glad we can at least agree on christie brinkley. |

assuming you're talking about the parlee...many bikes, including mine, require a spacer above the stem to even out the load on the steerer tube. not sure if this is the case here, but the amount of exposed steerer on that parlee looks like about the same amount i have on mine for that one necessary spacer.
