Caad10 is close. Bars are rotated forward to much for my liking and you really need to get a wireless computer because that looks awful. I feel like it really needs some black crank arms too.

THE KING IS BACK! The CCUs def add some nice bling to it though.

I think I agree about the bar tape and my wife definitely agrees (it was what was in the drawer when I changed the shifters so I didn't really pick it for this bike - at least that is my excuse). The tape will probably be changed out to flat black soon. As for the saddle, the bike came with a Retul fit that I haven't done yet, so that will determine where it ends up.

Thanks for the comments!

Not a bike that I find jaw dropping by any means but it is a nice bike. Saddle position and bar tape really bother me (you've already mentioned your reason for tape though). I'd recommend lizardskin 1.8 black race tape. Super comfortable without being thick, grippy as hell and looks great.

Although it's very nicely staged, its geometry is appealing and it appears to be assembled from individually attractive components (for the most part), on the whole I have to say 'Not.' Rim and frames are disproportionate to each other and inconsistently accented, and that has to be the most unsightly combination of crank arms chainwheels and pedals ever assembled. A fine bike, I'm sure; just not 'hot.'

Finally added the finishing touch to my Colnago 30th Anniversary frame. H plus son TB14 rims on Novatec hubs.

I do agree about the crankarms, they are quite unsightly.

Never been a fan of the majority of Colnago's. Still not a fan of this one, but the photo is fantastic. Love that bokeh!

Thanks, never quite sure which hobby is number one, photography or bicycling, but always nice when you can combine them.

Would you care to elaborate on what sounded so stupid? Or were you just eager to use a graphic you found today, and simply disagree over the hotness of the bike in question?

Sweet - I like it!

Go pick up an EF 300 f/2.8L IS and that bokeh can be yours, too.

bianchi10 09-28-14 09:21 PM

I just picked up a 50mm f/1.8 and have mixed feelings. Its my first prime lens and I'm not used to having to do all the moving to get the frame I want. Though, I am enjoying the bokeh. Next, I'd like to upgrade my Canon T3i to a Canon D70

Take a little time with it but keep in mind that your personal shooting style will align with certain fields of view but not others. Personally, I really like a ~50mm on a crop body, but find it to be limited use (usually portraiture or product photography). ~24mm, on the other hand, I could shoot with all day. ~35mm is another popular all-day focal length. (I'm referring to the focal lengths on a crop body, which would roughly align with 35, 50 and 85 on a FF slr body). Frankly, I wouldn't bother with the body upgrade, yet - it's not going to be a good ROI at this point, so figure out your glass, first.

Good point. I had a sigma 20mm ultra wide for a couple months but NEVER even used it. Sold it to get some cycling gear. I may sell this after I have some time to play with it and try out a 35mm.

Rather than buying/selling primes, take a standard zoom, tape it down at a certain focal length for days/weeks at a time and see if you find an FoV speaks to you. When you find one that does, go in for the prime if it offers you the speed/aperture and/or other IQ advantages over the zoom.

Jeeebus that's a great idea. Thanks
