A Specialized employee's bike on instagram, this has to be the coolest Diverge I've seen yet, fully kitted out. Love the versatility of this bike, it's just as happy on a group ride. Have the same bike, same color, definitely getting gumwall tires for mine.

Listen. I tour. In fact, I leave tomorrow for an eleven day tour. I don't think I could ever consider a loaded down bike as "hot." And, as mentioned, those sidewalls are ugly. For this thread, it's cringe-worthy. Post it in Touring and it would probably elicit praise from some, but not a "hot."
|
I definitely couldn't consider this bike hot. But it is probably for touring so ya I see why it is like that but it would be much nicer without all the bags.
|
Typically in this thread, you want to strip your bike so everyone can see the frame and components.
I dig bikepacking tho, so I can appreciate the way a bike looks loaded up, ready for an excursion. Still not a fan of the chainrings and seatpost however...the bike with the gumwalls and touring gear looks good tho. |
...I like it, not race road bike hot, but otherwise for what it is I would say hot. It is showing it in it's cleanest best looking form and I would definitely take another look when passing it on the street.

You don't have to twist my arm to take more photos of it! Actually took one with better lighting and after a much needed wash. I cover it in sweat every day! :)

Quick picture from the end of a ride. Breaking a few rules (chainring and etc.) but throwing this out there for now. I want to get the new Dura Ace Di2 on it eventually (whenever it finally comes out). Any suggestions?

Hey, those brake levers are beautiful! Maybe a bit less out-of-place on a period-correct bike but still beautiful...

Playing with a new camera so my first instinct was to try shooting my bike... Bit better than my iPhone lol. Also new carbon cages and a slammed stem. (I'll cut the remaining steer tube next week or whenever I get to it)

something looks funny when the bar drops are even with the top of the tire.

Shooting bikes can be difficult to find the right angle to shoot at to highlight all its attributes properly. To me, this photo would have turned out better if you/the camera was lower and more profile. Shooting a bike above the top bar can tend to give the bars an odd appearance, as will shooting too low looking up.

Shooting the bike from a lower angle like was mentioned previous should fix that issue, I believe. Side note: I dig the bike! |

http://i67.tinypic.com/20p1q4n.jpg Despite comments about the bars visual proximity to the wheel, I actually prefer this slightly elevated, naturalistic perspective to the clinical, straight-on view you often see. It's perfectly understandable. In fact, I think it would look VERY odd if the bars didn't have enough drop to come down at least that low. |
