Well I finally got the race bike built up so here is my current summer garage.
Bike for best: Scott Foil RC 2017 (left) & Race bike: Scott Foil Premium 2016 with Dura Ace 7900 & Rotor 3D Power2Max (right). Both ride dreamily but the new DA is a different league. https://c1.staticflickr.com/5/4202/3...b3a64290_k.jpg |

nice! i am looking at the 17 Foil, either the very frame you have here or building up a Foil Premium Frameset. trying to figure out IF my P2Max with Rotor 3D (not the plus or 30) will work with the 17 Foil frame. Wondering about clearance issues? I see you have yours on the 16. Any issues with running it on the 17?

I believe that the frames (except colour) are identical so shouldn't have any issues. Just get standard shimano bb (24mm)

2011 Lynskey R230
I've added as many titanium pieces as practical - cages, stem, seat post, head set. I think it's beautiful and it rides like a dream. I'm done... for now.

crankset is ugly, and I'd use a different stem, But hot otherwise.
if he was a pro he'd have it slammed, right? |

No problem with the spacers, but the bulky stem.
He's a big guy, maybe he likes a strong stem. Whatever. Exactly that, in fact ... if one can ride like he rode, one has certainly earned the right to ride whatever. As for the general esthetics .... a pro bike is going to be compromised to please the sponsors. I think that is why we see so many commercial bikes slathered in manufacturer decals---they want to make sure that the pros' bikes clearly show the make from any possible angle. Then they sell bikes that look like the pros'. Surprised he hasn't caught flack for gumwalls. :) |

My thoughts on this is to remove the decals, even the wheel decals. Tires, crank, brakes, handlebars and fork are, of course, going to remain black.
if it were mine, and I had the option, I would run it with no decals .... and black saddle and tape. But if the decals were under clearcoat I wouldn't mess with them. They aren't too gaudy Well, no fan of the wheel decals ....) |

Silver 9 or 10 Campagnolo, and skinwall Continental tire would look a little better, but it's Hot "as is".
