I think because the wheels come off as brownish grey, the tires don't need to offer that extra gumwall boost.

I am not an either./or---sometimes they work, sometimes they don't. Here they don;'t quite seem to match anything else. if the wheels were blacker, like the tires, then the gumwalls would look great.

Hot anyway.

I'm guessing you know but...

Roswell Bicycles did an amazing job custom fitting the non-SCS wheels to an original SCS frame. Without all the details there was switching of hangers, trying several end caps, and finally some machining. So for those wondering, it can be done. I really appreciate the level of effort and attention they put into this build (and all the others)!

This paint is just too hard to capture in photos. The bike is hot in the pic but 10x hotter in person.

It's the hover bar that Spesh uses on the Roubaix that makes it look off.

The bike is great and I am sure rides incredible but I would go for another set of wheels in this case. Maybe Lighweights ;)?

The Boras are tubular, as are these Mad Fibers. I have a set of Reynolds Aero's that are clinchers, but I haven't ridden clinchers for a long while. Next set are going to be either Lightweights or Reynolds RZR's.

Thanks. And I did. Also, you'll get to see more of it soon, as I'm actually riding it more now that I'm tinkering with the idea of selling my Vias.

46. I currently have their Aero 46 clinchers, which is as much as I can handle when I take my bikes to the Big Island (Hawaii) with the tradewinds.
