Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

There are times in my life where I have enjoyed watching particular games in all sports, but in general I can not make myself follow any sport other than cycling.

....and I feel that my life is better because of not wasting time on them.

It's just entertainment. If you enjoy watching sports then it isn't time wasted any more than time spent watching a movie or reading or any other hobby.
I enjoyed the first game today but the one on now is pretty boring.
I watched a boxing match last night that was pretty good, but the Tour Down Under was kinda dull.
Think I'll go get some chicken.

That's where you are tragically mistaken!

I see I'm going to have to take you under my wing for a while, son.

Calm down, Billy. It just means I get a 2, 3 or 4 hour nap...unless there is beer & pizza. After which I wake up refreshed with warm hands and lots of energy.

NFL is NOT football. I couldn't give a fig about watching most team sports apart from Rugby, Netball, Football (Soccer) and Cricket ODIs.

Au contraire . . . . if your game was officially called football, it wouldn't be called rugby . . . hellooo!

No, it doesn't. Actually I hear it's mantra at the women's weekly knitting club meeting.

I learned to ride a bike at 4 years old. I was playing football and wrestling before that.
