I had no choice but to love Football, both college and pro. Father and his 3 brothers all went to college on athletics scholarships. Every holiday memory I have as a child includes the four of them yelling at the TV screen. All their wives were, and still are huge sports fans. My mother sends me Steelers email crap all the time knowing I'm a Browns fan. Football: It's a way of life.
That said, Football didn't stop me from riding yesterday while the games were being played. Riding without a radio.

They moved to Baltimore a few years back...but I think they call themselves Ravens now.

Sad how that turned out. All that momentum and promise from last year, gone with a fizzle. Still, no team has yet to match the Browns 8 pro league championships, with 5 straight beginning the year of their founding in 1946. Stay proud Chipcom, stay proud. They'll be back.

The Browns? Oh right, their owner is the guy who bought Aston Villa FC. Those Browns.

My dad gave me the wool jacket he wore to Browns games in the 50s before we moved to California. I shredded it on my motorcycle.

It starts in a few minutes here. Looking forward to it.
Hockey? I went out with a lady who was a Kings fan back when they couldn't get fans to come to the games. This girl knew all their stories, kids names, where they grew up, etc. She would scream at the games until she lost her voice. One time the people from the Forum came into the stands and gave her a stack of tickets. They said she was the type of fan they wanted at the games. She took me to a couple games, I just couldn't get into it.
She was from New York.

I enjoy a well played game of hockey now and then, but that's a little over the top.

A guy who used to work here was even more stat crazy than her. This guy was in several fantasy leagues for basketball, football, and baseball. He was an incredible encyclopedia of trivia about teams, players, etc. I would test him by asking about recent games and where the players went to school, who they had played for in the past, their personal lives, you name it. He nearly always had the answer.

Some friends and co-workers and a few pro cyclists as well if possible.
