Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

When men get older they have to get up in the middle of the night. I remember sleeping 10 hours straight when I was a kid. Those were the days.

I don't always have to get up at night. It does happen though.

A friend had his prostate removed last year and he says the weight savings is what makes him faster this year.

Just got home from skiing. We got about four inches of powder snow on top of what we already had, so the trails were awesome for skiing. There are good things about snow, like skiing and...umm...well...alright, the snow pretty much sucks. I did go skiing, though, so I don't have to go ride the rollers today

Good to know things do eventually come full circle and equal out. We have to deal with the problem 24 hours a day for 9.5 months per child, then wake every couple of hours to feed for 4.5 more months. You all get to wake in the middle of the night once you reach whatever age.

Talking about skiing, my hands got insanely cold today. I was dressed warmly enough and felt great starting out, but I think my gloves were holding in moisture instead of letting it escape which in turn made my hands get really cold. Got any suggestions for a good pair of gloves that will keep me warm. My hands get cold very easily.

I know, I know. This isn't ski forums, but some of you guys are out there on your bikes in this weather and it seems that gloves that would work for that would also work for skiing.

They warm up pretty quick if handled the right way.

Oh, right...the handcuffs. Good thing I found the keys. Could have been interesting to explain to the neighbors.
