Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

The only way I would ride DA now is if I would have never had ridden SRAM Red.

So No, SRAM Red FTW!!

I'd get a SRAM rival groupset for $585.50 after the live.com discount, or get a force groupset with red cranks at the same cost as you're spending on DA.

with the difference only being $149 i smell something fishy... 690 for ultegra sl is kinda on the high side, and 839 whatever for dura ace seems too low, as if they are not providing the dura ace crankset? but perhaps a cheaper one.. but you should just get an ultegra group for 500.. dura ace if you actually take the $690 offer as a serious one.

Exchange rate + old stock = low prices.

Unless it's from a North American dealer/seller. Then it's weird.

Ultegra SL is also newer. Newer stuff costs more.

To be honest I've already made my decision and I honestly don't care what ne of you here really think since we will more than likely never meet and if we did I wouldn't get all swooning and weak in the knees. I'm just curious. ...and bored on a Friday evening when I would normally be running on the tread mill or riding the trainer except that my back is out today so I'm just trolling around on BF.
My answer would be NO. However, if you substituted 11-spd Super Record for Dura-Ace, we could talk...

I race with Sora. If I could afford DA, you bet I'd get it! As it is, I replace parts of my groupset with shimano 105 whenever they fail (so far, brakes and crankset). Occasionally my wife berates me for getting unnecessary bike parts... But the brakes were rubbish!
