Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Chocolate milk is a good source of carbs, proteins and fat, three essentials to recovery nutrition.

It's ingested, not absorbed.

Oh, OK.

But, surely, if they can afford chocolate for their milk they can afford Skins.

AFAIK - Some. But they are meant for use during activity. Basically they aren't as tight.

I use Skins. I find that after the hard training rides and races it does help speed up my recovery. I strongly recommend them. In my opinion, they are an essential part of your recovery. I am looking forward to using the cycling specific gear because I have not used compression garments on the bike. I'm sure there will be performance gains -- just wondering how much!

I used my Travel Recovery Tights for the first time yesterday. In the previous 7 days I had ridden ~210 miles and then boarded a flight to Seattle. That amounted to about 4.5 hours of total flight time with a 1.5 hour layover, a perfect test for the Travel and Recovery tights. Total time worn, 8 hours (house to hotel). The fit was great (XS for 5'9" 131 lbs) though the seams on the feet hooks were a bit annoying. Not too bad, but I could feel the seams as I walked through the airport. They were not uncomfortable at all, though they did bunch up just a tad on the back of my knee when seated. The temperature regulation seemed to work, as if I was in one position for a while then moved I could feel cooler air hit my legs. Weird feeling. My legs did feel different with them on and I have to admit that my legs had never felt that good after such a long flight. When I took them off I could tell a difference also. Unfortunately I can't really "test" the recovery aspect of them as I don't have my bike, but I plan on hitting the hotel bike for some intervals later. So far so good though.

Bikes: Cervelo S1. 80s Norco road bike.

Can you wear these on the bike alone or does that look stupid?

Try Adidas Techfit Powerweb or Underarmor. I've bought both brands, top & bottom sets for just over $100.
