Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Nice! Are you on Strava? I'm semi new to the area and haven't really found any decent routes other than riding around the back roads. Be nice to check out some of your routes if there are any around here. The only decent one I've ran across is the ride past Flat Irons mall.

Yup! Sure is. It has to be the most comfortable and "stylish" helmet ever made =p

New 50m Chinese carbon wheels . Heard great things about them so decided to take the plunge after a lot of research. Incredibly fast shipping, Ordered on 8/6 and came in last night. Great packaging and came with skewers and brake pads. Excited to get them mounted and test them out.

i've been thinking about getting chinese carbon wheels, where did you get them from? and was the weight they claimed accurate?

Carbonzone on the bay. I have no idea, only have a bathroom scale at home and I doubt that will work. To me they feel light though

Get yourself a drug dealers scale like everybody else on here. Lol Grams always matter to some, rarely to most.

My first Bib and jersey. Both Garneau. After a good 25 mi ride I can say I had no idea what I was missing. I had been riding in basketball and compression shorts and a t shirt. The Bib with the padding is sooo comfortable! And the jersey feels like the wind just comes right through and cools me down. Im sure this will help me do some longer rides. And the blue on the jersey matches my Celeste Binanchi very well

Cygolite Hotshot 2 watt rechargable taillight. I'm hoping it's pretty bright because for the first time cars are giving me a lot of room when they pass me.

I have the hotshot taillight, it's insanely bright, it will leave spots in your eyes if you look directly into it.

I don't have money like you guy do so I had to settle for a Sigma BC 1609 STS Double Wireless Bicycle Speedometer. It seems to work well so I guess time will tell.

Being a tad on the poor side, I had to settle for a Avenir Bigmouth seat bag. It may not be up to most of your standards but as long as it's good enough I'll be happy. I guess time will tell.

My latest purchase was two weeks ago when I upgraded from a Trek 7100, that I bought 10 months ago, to a carbon Cannondale Synapse 5 and what an upgrade it is. I can't believe how much quicker my rides are. Wish I could find my camera to post a pic.

I've got 2 Sigma computers. Mine are wired, but they are rock solid reliable and easy on the batteries. Great value.

Had the co-op where I volunteer order me a pair of Conti GP4000S's to replace my ****ty stock Kenda Kadences. Front one got a sidewall tear at the 1000 mile mark, rear one just got a sidewall tear at the 2000 mile mark. I'm using a Gatorskin on the front and a Serfas Seca on the rear in the meantime.

Also bought another Quik Stik because they make tire installs super ****ing easy. I now keep one in my saddle bag and one at home.
