Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

ah! some ppl up here who are clipless will change pedals for the winter cuz they want to wear regular boots. I used mini clips to help keep my feet planted and used whatever shoes/boots I had at home

Got a new Deda Superleggero Seatpost. The Ritchey superlogic 25mm I had purchased ended up having too much offset. The Deda has a 12mm which is perfect for me. Out of the box it weighed 178g which is what I was expecting. Sanded off the clear and logo's, then cut off 90mm. With all stock pieces it came in at 142g. Planning on P.O.P. Yokes and carbon cradle. Should be able to get it down to 120g no problem.

LOVE how this post looks and it matches the bike like it was made for it.

You've always had good taste... why do you ride a bike so bland? might seem insulting but I think you should go ahead and have some fun, experiment. It's a perfect bike but it does need soul.

Not insulting. You are entitled to your own opinion. In my personal opinion, this bike has plenty of "Soul". No need to experiment, when I know what I want. What I got is what I want. I know a lot of people don't find all black bikes to be appealing and I understand that. My kits are where I like to get flashy. Might be bland to you, but perfectly Hot every single time I look at it and that's all I have ever wanted. I miss my Enve's on it, but for the winter riding, its smarter for me to use these.

Can't beat you at your taste. Kudos to you for being so confident. No wrong in that. Still a deeck.

I like it just the way it is, but then again, I own a all black bike also.

Where did you get this at? Also, do you use water to clean the chain/cassette or a cleaning fluid?

I tend to ride 2 lane country roads with no shoulder...quite a bit.
Electric cars are sneaky
Rather not look over my shoulder and stay in my TT position on the TTbike
I can call out car back in pace lines pretty much before anyone else..no matter where I am in the pace line
I don't have to depend on someone else to call out car back.
On casual rides, I can ride 2 abreast and fall in line with plenty of time.

sure a mirror can accomplish some of this... but I prefer to ride mirrorless especially on the TT bike.. and looking back on the TT bike is not an option.

@spdntrxi I'd certainly get one if I could point it forward to detect / predict cats and squirrels about to cross my path.

Very nice! This is the 2L model, correct? Seems to be sold by a couple of vendors on eBay, so I guess I'll go with the highest feedback rating. Anything to watch out for? Any problems with it so far?

It is a 2L and you can fit the chain or cassette or derailleurs or brakes. Obviously the crank and chainrings won't fit.
Only used it once and it seems to work just fine.

It's made in China so I don't plan on leaving it alone when plugged in.

Here's the link to the one O bought, it seems to be the manufacturer or imported. I got it fast in just a few days and it was very well packed.

I ordered one of those after reading your report.

Motivated by the idea of the 20,000 mile chain...

Mine is a 11-28 11 speed.

You have ot put it in the basket small cog down and fill it a bit more than 1/2 way to cover it.
