This will be a long day at work, as this afternoon when I return home, I should find a nicely packaged carton with a new wheelset. UPS confirms delivery will be today. Hoo ha! So will be watching the clock.

Replacing Xero XSR-4 Lites, weighing 2040 grams, with a wheelset at 1540 will be the biggest upgrade for me on the OCR2. Mind you, I got very good service from the Xero's with 5-1/2 years of trouble-free riding; never had to be trued and never an issue. However as I won't likely be able to raid the bank account for the major dollars required to buy a much lighter performance bike in the next few years, I'm happy to be able to squeeze a bit more out of the Giant. And I could always move the wheels to another rig if needed anyhow.

Reports to follow this weekend after I get a chance to ride 'em. Thanks for the many postings on BF about William's as that pointed me towards them.

I ordered the 19s and should be getting them early next week, just in time for my b-day. I have Shimano RS10s right now so something lighter will be nicer, I'm really looking forward to trying these out.

Yes please give a review when you get these. I am in a similar situation and would like to get the best budget wheels I can find. If you could weigh them when you get them that would be cool too, since some people have said they are some what heavier than claimed.

No shill action that I recall. I searched it here and on a few other forums where the people who got them seemed happy with them so I thought I'd give them a try, the price doesn't break the bank either.

I'm jealous. I should be ordering some 30s or 30x's in the next couple weeks. I'm under the weight limit for the 30s (170lbs and dropping to hopefully 160 by mid season) but Im afraid of how they'll hold up on new York city streets. So definitely give a review! I'm really curious as to how the hubs SOUND.. which is kinda stupid but I love the feeling of my dead silent ultegra hubs I have now. How long did it take for them to ship?

They aren't dead silent, aren't as loud as others though - somewhere in the middle.

I went back and forth between the 19's and 30's, especially as I live in an area with lots of climbing.
I'm not a racer but just a recreational rider and under 100 miles per week most of the time.
Both wheelsets have received positive reviews and feedback. I also spoke with Keith Williams.

I went with the 30's for several reasons; I wanted to have more of an 'all-around" wheelset that would be brainless for me and might be slightly more durable, 2) although the 30's are really more marginal aero than not (as opposed to 38's and larger, which are truly aero), the feeling is that aero trumps weight a significant portion of the time for the way I ride. And keep in mind that the difference in weight between the 19's and 30's is not real huge.

Even though I ride in the hills, the percentage of time of climbs vs flats is still low. It just seems longer because it takes me longer to get up there!

But it's probably mostly a wash in the long run and I'm sure I'd be just as happy with the 19's. Again, taking into account my own riding style and use.

I ordered them on Monday and will receive them today. Keep in mind I live in Socal and William's is just Nocal. And I'm hoping the hubs are pretty quiet 'cause I really like a silent ride!

I got a pair of 30x's a week ago. Haven't ridden them yet, but I did the spin in the air test and I'm not impressed with bearing's smoothness. The front hub even has a rough patch. My unscientific test shows they spin about as long as my 3 year old Ksyriums Elites . They are well built and sturdy. On the loudness scale the freewheel sounds average or little louder than average. The spoke blades are smaller than the Elites, hopefully will more stable in a cross wind.

You should call him to get this resolved. One of the wheels with my 30s came with a ding in the rim and they sent out a new wheel the same day.

Really? Maybe you should give them a little more than 10 seconds to wear in before you pass judgment on them. Or send them to me, I'd be glad to wear them in for you.

Good luck. Love my 38c's, hope you like the 30's. I really think Williams offers great product and great value. I'm planning on another set later this year, $ permitting.

Yeah I'm being overly critical, but I was expecting a little better with all the rave reviews they are getting. I didn't realize bearings need to be broken in, will try that, hopefully this weekend.

ceramic bearing and hybrid ceramics aren't ment to spin awesome without a load. HTFU and ride them. They smooth out UNDER load.

That's the #1 mistake of ceramic users. They think they will be ultra smooth without a load. The spin test in the air is meaningless.

I think there is an article floating around that says it or check the FAQs of the hybrid ceramic's website.

My 19s have been great thus far with around 1k miles or so. No issues whatsoever.

I think the American cyclistis fed up with the outrageous pricing on a lot of equipment here. So, some companies (i.e. Williams and Soul) have capitalized on this. Who knows how long it will last but they are offereing good product at fair prices so I certainly wouldn't consider this schilling.

I just got the 19's built with powertap pro+ to replace stock bontrager select wheels on my Trek.Even with the powertap my bike is one pound lighter with new wheels.I didn't buy the PT head unit(I have a Garmin 705) wheels with powertap$1200.00.It would of cost me $1100.00 for the Ksyrium SL's without a powertap(I was going to buy the ksyrium's but stumbled upon williams web site when looking at some climbs in this years TOC.

Thanks for that link...I definately would not have been aware of how the bearings work and probably would have hand spun the wheel myself, wondering where the smoothness was.

I had to take my bike to the LBS for other work so I'm having them mount the wheels at the same time. They weighed the bike for me and told me it's now about 21 3/4 lb, including the wedge pack. While clearly not a light weight, it's still much better than when I bought it.

Nice. Make sure you put some good rubber on those hoops. I vote for either PR3 or Conti4000/4000s.
