too bad the h-phones sound terrible compared to other 3rd party h-phones. Just wait until you have to price out a replacement set for that shuffle! :roflmao2:

Oh lets not also forget it has and radio twice the space as a shuffle. I won't even get into how iTunes sucks because that is probably beyond your technical comprehension. To compare Sandisk with Neuvation and iBike is just stupid.

Then again I realize name is very important to you and it helps with your lack of self confidence.

+1

edit:
oh I must add he probably has a lot of self confidence. He has to be the one with the most post count on this forum. Im surprised if he even rides a bike at all.

But in retrospect, that does sound pretty stupid. A perfect Friday BF Post, I'd say.

No drums (which I play), no listen! :) Although I only listened to like 4 clips on Amazon D/L.

A 'radio'?

My little $50 iPod shuffle stores 2GB of music. That's 600 songs, about 30 hours of music. My longest bike rides are generally 3-4 hours long, a few times annually I'll go 6-7 hours.

You learned all this at that Flyover Community College Economics 101 course last September, didn't you, you sly dog.

He may suck at it, but he certainly rides a lot. Still, since he wears the same kit as me as long as I continue to crush souls he wins. Ergo, you fail.

The headphones are covered under Apple Care so the replacements are free.

Gary doesn't crush souls on the bike so much as he vaporizes them.

JFC, who cares? You put songs on it and play it while your riding; you're not curing world hunger. If it breaks or you lose it, you go to the store and buy another one.

*buzzzzzz* wrong answer... u lose
only defenctive products get exchanged. And thats no different than if you bought a mp3 from Sony , or Panasonic or Zune or anything else.
But if you're referring to "Apple Care" as in the extended warranty then you really gotta be dumb to spend $60 for a 1 yr warranty for an item that costs $99 bucks.

What I was reffering to is if you lose your earbuds, then you'd be **** outta luck. And how do I know this??? Because Ive tried it. Lost my ipod buds and apple said tough luck. And I lost them within 4 months.

I wish you were right. Then i'd go into Apple and claim I lost my earbuds every week and get a new pair every time

That's the best feature of the iPod shuffle. You're out there sweating on it, riding in the rain, etc. I had one that got drowned so bad on rain-soaked three hour ride that it died. I mean, it was like I got hosed down by a friggin pumper truck. I bought a new one. $50 won't break the Pcad bank.

Really happy with the Shuffles so far. I like the new one, but its features don't really bring much to the game that's useful for me. But man, that new one is tiny. Very cool. I have a 1st generation Nano that works great, and a 30gb Classic that's beautiful, small, well designed, and holds all my music and a couple of videos (total of all my stuff is only about 20gb) very nicely. The display is so nice I can even watch videos on it. I love it because I can take my entire music/video library everyplace, play it through my home stereo, other people's stereos, in the car, etc. And it's a couple of years old. Hell the new Classic holds 120gb.

There are other music players out there, and they are serviceable, but there is a good reason why Apple has 70%+ of that market. Whatever floats your boat.

First gen shuffle owner here and love it and ride with it almost all the time.
My immediate reaction to the new shuffle is...classic Apple looking to turn a buck by selling more earphone sets. I personally don't use an Apple earphone or buds with my shuffle nor do I want to. The good news is now 1st gen shuffles e.g. 2 gig variety will be available on ebay for cheap.

The brand new Shuffle just introduced this week is THIRD generation. The little tiny square one is second generation, that's the one I have:

I think my ears are defective because the ipod ear buds will not stay put in my abnormal ear canals.

The one I have as well. Forgot about the bigger 1st gen. :o

I prefer to listen to Pandora on my iPhone because I don't have or buy much music.

I use my 2nd generation shuffle when swimming, because I bought a waterproof case to strap on my goggles. But other than that, it's iPhone all the time. I'm on it now :)

I hate people with strong opinions on music. i.e. "I can't believe Joe listens to Creed." Music is a personal thing. Like what you like. Unless I don't like it, then use your head phones.
