It's really more of a "pack job" underneath with a supporter to hold the goods up. Same as they do when you get snipped (yep, been there, too).

you got a "supporter" ?!?! What a load of crud!! When I got the big snip the told me to wear tighty whiteys and sent me home with a huge ice pack. The boys were swollen for 2 weeks!

Wow, I'm just coming in on this topic. Get better soon. This scares me to death.

Hey there, Busta _____ and friends...

The thread was outrageously funny (and a little TMI)....

As they say - 'Laughter is the best medicine." ---Let me assure you, I'm HEAVILY medicated after reading this!

Get well soon, Busta

Yes; a full round of oral antibiotics. The doc wasn't overjoyed that I waited 18 hours to seek help. He didn't say anything about being past the limit for stitches. This was my GP, not a urologist. He didn't have a problem fixing me up as this was really just a torn skin issue. I'm pretty sure that, had this been any type of blunt force injury that involved the jewels, he would have sent me to a urologist.

The local wore off hours ago. It's really more of an itchy/stinging feeling than anything else. Walking ain't fun, though.

Dude - glad you got attention; did the GP give you any credits for posting about it on BF for 12hrs before seeing a medical professional? ;)

TONYKART125 03-21-09 12:14 AM

Eh, prescription Tylenol. Honestly, it hurts less than my vasectomy.

Not sure what you mean by "truss". Maybe one of those hospital bed contraptions to hod the package up?

guadzilla 03-21-09 03:12 PM

I'm not sure what is freaking me out more - the OP story or the photo of the guy in the nutsack on p2.

I think I'll be sleeping with my lights on tonight.

Glad you got some treatment and it "seems" like it was as you suspected - superficial. (though when dealing with the boys, NOTHING is superficial)

I had a similar experience when I started to move back down to my saddle in the middle of a climb today.

RichinPeoria 03-21-09 03:54 PM

Dude, whatever...I hope your sack gets better so you can get out and ride again soon.

Me too. It was actually ON MY MIND at least a half-dozen times as I would drop back into the saddle after a climb.

Reynolds 03-21-09 04:09 PM

I didn't read any post on this thread and I'm going to keep well clear of it.

"degloved scrotums attend the Accident and Emergency departments of hospitals each year. In one famous case involving an electric shoe-shining belt, the injured man tried to staple his torn scrotum together with an industrial stapler and only later discovered he was missing a testicle. "

I didn't cringe until I read that. Should be your new nickname.

Ah yes...

This from the man who spent a great deal of keyboard time disparaging the Brooks saddle and emphasizing how he models all of his purchases/cycling equipment after what the pros use.

How's that working out for you? :roflmao2:

FAIL

It didn't happen on one of my road bikes with my Toupes, it happened on my TT bike with a heavy Vision aero saddle. Never had a problem with my Toupes. See how evil heavy saddles are?

I don't know how I missed this thread when it came out. So how about an update, busta, how are things healing up? (or down, if you prefer).Good thing you didn't show up in my office, you would have left with some antibiotic ointment, a bandage and a one inch laceration in your scrotum, not sure about the wisdom of stitches, particularly in that area, in an eighteen hour old wound. Hope all is well.
