How was the wind when you were down there? We went a couple weeks before you and the wind in buxton was ridiculous the whole time I was down there. Only ended up riding once.

It was really windy the first couple days, but died off by the end of the week. I used to go to Duck every summer and there were rides up to Corolla where I'd average maybe 15 one way, 26+ the other. The wind can be demotivating so I just make sure I try to ride into it to start my ride and sail home after. Loved the Hatteras area, btw, having never been that far south before.
