Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

our storage/weight room

unfortunately i live in a 3 br, 2-level place with two other friends and not a lot of space

ideally i'd have a garage, but realistically next year i'll likely have a condo or apartment to myself. the bike will reside where ever i can have room to work on it. i'm looking at getting a floor-to-ceiling stand for it and possibly another bike in the future.

It is a shop. It's his personal shop.

You can tell it's not a commercial shop, because every single bike in there is very nice.

Hi,

'Store' is such a harsh word.

A. Garage: 4 on racks and 1 on maintenance stand
C. House: 1 on display area overlooking the front door

my bikes are in the basement, where my shop is.

I'm curious: for all those who keep bikes in the bedroom, kitchen, office, living room...how many of you are married?

My two bikes are stored in the basement, hung vertically on padded hooks.
My daughter's and wife's bikes are inexpensive and kept in the garage during the riding season. During the winter, the bike are moved to the basement.

At home, I have a rack for my bikes, which is in my dining room.

At work, I put it in one of those little wheel stands, which I keep in my office.

Married and keep it in the bedroom. It was in the guest room, but that is occupied for now. The wife does not mind, as it is better than anywhere else.

KRhea Sir, please post the picture of the outside of your bike shop too. Man you have one very cool set up. Thankfully a thread like this comes up now and again so we can see your setup.

Much to my wife and family's dismay, I keep three bikes in the living room. We don't have a garage

Married with 4 kids... so I turned my garage into a mancave/bike-specific workshop where I also keep my bike. There's a TV with satellite, gigantic double door beer cooler, XM satellite radio, iPod docking station, and a couple chairs. Best room in the house. Just me and my bikes.

Lung, you got it right. My garage has tv, bikes, tools, pinball machines, couch and chairs. But I hate that I have to walk all the way to the kitchen to get my beers.
