Seems pricey to get plenty of spce but I guess how much do you need? webhosting forums here: http://www.freewebspace.net/forums/ Blogging is probably the simplest way to get a personal 'website' up and going. From memory blogger.com allows you to set up your blog for a closed user group, or was that just editting? I can't remember. |
Climbo, you could do worse than www.atspace.com
» 50 MB Free Web Hosting » Free UNLIMITED Traffic » Free Domain Hosting » Free Subdomain Hosting » Free DNS Server » Free FTP Hosting Account » Free POP3 Email Account » Instant Account SetUp » Web Based File Manager » Easy to use Control Panel » Fast & Reliable (so they say) » 99.8% Uptime Guarantee » Host Unlimited Web Sites » NO BANNER ADS » TOTALLY FREE!!! I had no probs with them except i seem to recall som weird size limit (250kb?) for any single file. Other than that it's pretty easy to get a site up. |
free space? dunno, i'll check with 'em
i don;t want all those silly pop-ups and only something small so maybe bigpond does a small site for free if you have an account, i'll check. |

As for third party lenses, you might as well ask the guys who know. The only one I bought my wife was a 2x extender (you guys can keep your dirty little thoughts to yerselves!) which seems to be just fine.

Any tips Expat? I've still got some Jagwire brake cables. See Climbo for a glowing endorsement.

So you rekon there's any difference between one wire to the next? I would have thought the outer would be where the difference would lie? |

Ok guys, a bike related question. Skinny tire question, even. I just saw an Avanti with flat bars, skinny tires, and the Shimano Nexus 8 speed rear hub. I'm not sure why I like it, but I do. Does anyone know anything about this bike? It was only $900, which seems a pretty fair price. Opinions welcome.

Can't find any info on the bike at their website, but it's new in the shop. On a slightly related note, it's time for early spring cleaning:
If anyone is looking to build or upgrade an older MTB, I've got a complete bike in bits that I'm parting out. Very low k's on all of it. XT 8 speed shifters and rear derailleur, LX front, Avid SD 3 brakes, Avid SD 5 levers, XTR seat pillar, XT cranks, and some other bits like an inexpensive suspension fork and an entry level set of wheels with disc hubs. Oh, and a very nice custom frame - Kinesis tubing. I'll have it on ebay soon, but if anything interests any of you guys, PM or email me. There's a bunch of other stuff floating around that's got to go too, I'll let you know when I dig it up. |

All I think I know is that they are a NZ company |
I dread going back to Hadley's. Is it too much to ask for a bike shop employee to know about bikes?

My bad. But they had the bike in stock, so I figured maybe they could tell me about it. Silly me. I think I'll get his and hers beach cruisers instead. Retro ones, of course. |
