Well if you buggers are going to ride up then I'll post a note on Topica for anyone else that's interested. You reckon 12:30 at West Gosford shopping centre is about right? That should see us at Calga by 1:15-1:30 after an easy paced ride.

531Aussie 03-31-05 09:00 PM

by the way, I'm lovin' me 180mm cranks...BOOM SHANKA!

I reckon I've cut 10 minutes of the 2km climb, as they say..... :p

See, I've toyed with the idea of using 180mm cranks. Just can't justify spending all that cash for 5mm more. Now 3 inches that would be different, but that's another story :o

this morn'in i was reading cycling mag article which was saying in the US they were throwing out bike parts because of an over supply situation,a good buisness policy would be to make the parts more affordable to keep the stock turn over.Any one else read this.

Maaaaaate, I spent about 3 months researching it (annoying everyone on the forum in the process -- including Ed), before I forked out the $600 for the cranks and bottom bracket.

Hey Expat, you might need to modify that tandem of yours...!

One of favourites was when he was on ch 7, and said:

"(such and such a player) is what I call a '100 metre player': he runs 30m then kicks 60m" :D

If you listen to SEN in the mornings, Billy Brownless comes up with some whoppers

When "Jason from Boronia" got his own sponsor, I gave them the flick. Can't stand it......and that ass-clown Matt Hardy makes it hard to listen int he arvo too. Last year when he sang over Mike Brady, I was gonna drive down there and clock him, a la Michel Zanoli on Davis Phinney at the Tour du Pont (mandatory cycling reference....:))

531Aussie 03-31-05 10:25 PM

they got hammered in the ratings

From VeloNews last year

Zanoli, a big man, had an intimidating presence in a sprint. At the Casper Classic in Wyoming, American Nate Reiss made the mistake of grabbing the large Dutchman's jersey in the charge to the line. Zanoli maintained his sprint but swung a huge fist back at the offending rider. Reiss later concluded that one "can not beat a 6 foot 7 Dutchman trying to kill you at 45 miles an hour."
