haven't seen last night but yes, a bit annoying that they cut in at any moment with cricket updates....wasn't it advertised to us as being live, every minute of the Tour in 2005 ?? If so, then yes, the viewers and sponsors should be annoyed.

I know SBS had commitments, and I love me cricket, but it was pretty obvious that the Poms weren't gunna last very long, so I dunno why they couldn't have taped it, and played the cricket after......I would've stayed up to watch it! :)

Well, there's the end of my first tour. And sad I am. To watch it really does feel like a special event. Like the Olympics. So to cut away like they did was just rediculous. You lot know I'm a cricket nut, but we'll see enough of the poofs running around on the fair lawns of England over the next month. Nobody woudl have given half a fark if they had of had some condensed highlights of the cricket after the tour was finished. Blardy disgrace.

BTW, I know I'm not allowed to like, or even think positive things about Lance, but I really am glad I got to see him go around once before he retired. There was a stupid "Worlds 10 best sportsmen" in the Daily Terrible over the weekend. They had Lance in 4th behind Roger Federer for ****s sake. What a farce. Nah, Lance isn't a bad peddler. Shame he isn't Australian.

No, it's cool to like Armstrong. I think he's an amazing individual in his own way, but he's just the architype Seppo, and with the amount of foaming-at-the-mouth fanboy rubbish that goes on here, SOMEONE has to counter it by reminding people about some of the absudities that come along with being and archetype and an athlete.

You guys should be proud of Cadel Evans. He was fun to watch. I had a slightly biased opinoin though, since my last name is Caddel pronounced the same way as Cadel. It really threw my wife for a loop when she here Phil say Cadel on television.

Okay, quick question for youse bike mechanics here. Earlier this year my mtb wasn't shifting down to smaller cogs on the back very well. LBS said cable was stuffed so they replaced it, it shifted down to smaller cogs again so I didn't worry. Anyway, only probably been on 5 rides on it since, the last one being my adventure race in the rain where the deraileur cage came apart and I lost the jockey wheels. So anyway put a used LX cage on then go for a ride and it wont go back down again. Pay attention to the cabling they did and it looks pretty rough. Still it's only a few months old so it shouldn't be the problem. The deraileur is like a 15 year old STX jobbie, so I was wondering if the spring in those things goes slack, and stops pulling like it used to?

One hint I can give is check if the derailer will put the chain onto the smallest cog when you loosen the cable,as doing this should eliminate the effect of the cable pulling.If it doesn't,then check if the high gear limiter screw is set right for its outer limit travel,as this could be the culprit that stop your chain from going further outward.hope this helps.

I was absolutely appalled at your decision to switch to the cricket last night, right in the middle of the crucial, final moments of the race. What a joke! You advertised the cycling would run 11.00PM till 2.00AM. I sat up to see the Tour but then in a moment of absolute ridicule you give the cycling a back seat to the cricket.
I cannot for the life of me understand your logic. It's not as though cricketing fans in any significant numbers would have been sitting up at 2.00AM just in case the rain stopped. Then to add insult to injury, you give casual coverage of the finish and cut straight back to cricket. No presentation, no final placings, no sprinter details no fanfare.
You've disappointed a whole lot of people and made many of us very angry, and I personally will be loath to watch your channel again.
I think I'll accept your inference that cycling fans aren't terribly important to your channel and go watch my sport elsewhere.

Thanks heaps for that. Well, it's not the limiting screws as it wont come back from even the biggest cog. I'll try seeing what it does without the cable, but I would have thought all cable would have friction which the spring might or might not be able to overcome?
