Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I have a Madone 4.6c with the Duotape and a Node 1.1

Works great and does what I want.

I needed one with a large display so I can read it without need my glasses.

MPH is large and on the bottom I show cadence and mileage. You can also use a HR monitor and a powertap.

I just don't need all the fancy other stuff.

If you already have an iPhone and carry it with you anyway get a wahoo iPhone bike case. It is water tight and mounts on your handle bars and is only $99. If you ride over 3 hrs they offer an intregrated extended battery that some say ads 4-6 additional hours.

I do like how the display is arranged and the options for configuring which values are on the screen. I am looking forward to seeing how reliable the sensors are. I like that it is designed to work on the rear wheel, makes winter trainer setup easy compared to my old wired unit.
I have been thinking about getting the Giant Neos Pro for my TCR with RideSense. Does the speed/cadence sensor come with the computer or did you have to buy the bundle with the heartrate monitor?

3yo thread... wheew. In that case... Garmin edge 800 bundle (hr strap and sc10) with SRM power; you will never want for more unnecessary data ever.

Seems like a HR watch for 30-40 bucks and cateye strada wired for 30 would be a solver for cheap.

In all disclosure... I went with the previous route.

I bought the computer without a sensor at my LBS and ordered a wahoo sensor.

I just purchased the bundle (NEOS PRO + computer, HRM and PC link). The computer and HRM work ok, however the RideSense software and PC Link data download is hit and miss. Exercise date is often wrong day, mph (min/max/avg) is often wrong, elevation is often wrong. I've been through two units with the same result. Too bad, the idea of one sensor (hidden well) is certainly more appealing than sensors on both the front and rear wheels.

Has anyone had experience with the Giant Neos Pro+ computer PC Link and the accompanying RideSense software? I've had nothing but trouble with the data downloaded from (2) different computer units.

https://www.thisisant.com/ is the resource for total techies. The main point is that a ANT+ sensor is a low power consumption wireless sensor that can send data every 2 seconds for 4 years on a single watch (coin) type battery. The other nice thing is the system networks, thus you can have many sensors. The parts are not expensive, so it fits the cycling computers well.

I use the Bontrager Node 1 with ANT compatibility in conjunction with my GARMIN SR60 ANT HR monitor watch. A faultless combination that gives me all the data I need. If you go up the GARMIN range you get full GPS & Mapping functions too. The GARMIN training software is bulletproof and has never failed me in two years.
