Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Very forgiving of you.

BTW, you can say 'God'.

Seems like a pretty thoroughly researched article.

Could use a good proofreader, though:

1. Cut out alcohol, caffeine, recreational drugs and nicotine--their all pollutants.

Ignorance? China has pledged one million dollars. That is akin to Bill Gates tossing 10 dollars into a Salvation Army kettle. The L.A.F has pledged 25% of China's. Pretty easy to understand really.

Please...don't you see every time you open your mouth look dumber and dumber..Let it go. Slither away and build your post count on another thread. You are the hater I referred to. Leave it at that, unless you want to dumb it up some more RACER ONE...

Comparing yourself to the failure of others isn't a very reasonable approach to things.

That is THE FUNNIEST post I have read on bike forums. Who are you talking to sweet pea? Another typewriter tough guy....It never ends..What's that star by your name? Must mean General. Well General, I don't like you, your mirror or your tone of voice. Leave my thread alone and be gone before I bust you down to private.

On another note Racer One explained his position to me, in a well articulated PM. I understand his point of view, after his explanation, and retract my somewhat, ( albeit in jest )disparaging comments to, and about him. Some people take this forum just a bit to seriously, like the general above, and that self appointed queen of humor, Vice Admiral BOTTO. I on the other hand have received 2 infractions to date, for violation of BF decorum and look forward to my 3rd one or lifetime ban in the near future.

Yes, please stop.

I think this thread should be locked and all the emotional energy expended should be sent to Haiti to help in the relief effort.

Really, friends, this sort of behavior is exactly why people starve while those who could be providing relief squabble over...pft....nothing. It's disgusting.

Wow, ok I will explain. As reported on the evening news China, you know, the country, pledged $1,000,000.00 of assistance to hatti relief effort. The L.A.F pledged $250,000.00 25% of what an entire country, China, pledged. In my opinion that is a fairly sizable donation when compared to other entire countrys. China donated far more to bail out our frigging banks than that. As far as any ignorance is concerned you are the one who could not comprehend the comparison I was making. I say let the ignorance fall where it will.
As to the last part, "Either way its $250,000.00 they didnt have before. Where's the bad?" I stand by it. I see nothing wrong with The L.A.F donating $ towards relief of Hatti. Should the L.A.F. get some free advertising from it I dont see a problem with it. Modanna donated $250,000.00 also should we complain about that?

I really hope that you misunderstood my comments and post. But just to clarify, I am a fan of Lance Armstrong, and The L.A.F. I think he did a very nice thing and I believe the L.A.F. deserves concideration for it.

I've been holding my tongue but this is starting to piss me off. If your gonna be a d!ck about things it least leave the USMC out of your info, your just perpetuating the stereotype of d-bag who has to be tougher than everyone else. If you think I'm trying to be an internet tough guy, I'm not, you could probably kick my ass, but I would say it to your face. The worst that could come of that is you beat my ass and I laugh while your getting busted down in rank. Unfortunately, the military gets a bad enough rap without your help. (I work with plenty of Marines who I have respect for, but they don't go around making asses of themselves). And as I said feel free to be an ass just leave the Corps out of your info in that case.
