Very, very nice. I love 90's era bikes and this is a good example of one with modern components. I think the curved fork would have looked nicer than the straight bladed. Is the steerer 1"? If so, what stem/bars are those?

With a downstair neighbor who reacts to the sound of my Tacx like a bull to a red banner I'm totally fed up with this weather. If it's below zero it snows, above zero it rains, on and off with black ice as a result, and too dark after I get home from work, springtime PLEASE come soon. Well, at least I can sit back and watch porn ;)
It's a Pro Stealth combo, custom painted with a 1" shim (sold by a variety of shops, the one I used on this bike is from BBB, the black one on my Merlin is from Syntace. I considered a curved fork but ended up with this straight one because I prefer its looks in combination with the modern handlebar

Today I did my first kilometers on it and I absolutely loved it. Stiff, responsive, yet the comfort of the handlebar is also in another dimention compared to my other rides. Given, I did my last three seasons on a Merlin Extralight with Syntace F99/Schmolke SL combo so comparing that with an oldfashioned oversized alu frame with Stealth bar/stem combo is comparing apples and oranges. But hell, I've build this for fast group rides with the Merlin for long distance solo rides and climbing and I think I made the right choices.

BTW, because it is a different material the saddle sometimes looks off compared with the frame and sometimes it looks spot-on. To proof this...

Still thinking about those customized Bora's but I fear the ultra stiff alu frame will be too hard to handle and too uncomfortable when combined with high profile rims.

Looks awesome. I'd stick with the low profile rims. I'd think it would make it feel way different from your Merlin - to the point that you wouldn't ride it (but then you could give it to me :P.

Hehehe, well, the Merlin will be repainted and rebuild this year :p
