Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I remember growing up in the Midwest, that frequently it would get quite warm during and after a heavy snowfall. If you look at the street in the second pic, it just looks wet, so not too terribly cold. Nice!

Meh.

I don't put anything on my legs other than normal shorts until the temps get below about 35 or 40 F. And I supposedly live in the "South" in Virginia (32"+ of snow over the weekend, another 12"+ due tomorrow and Wed...). Every one of my bikes has road slicks on them, so I'm having bike withdrawal symptoms.

I need to HTFU. The last time I was out on my bike was a 44 mile ride on thanksgiving morning. It was mid 30's, raining and windy. I was miserable for the last 20 miles back to the car. Now I venture back to BF and see all you guys riding with snow on the ground.
