Velo Vol 05-09-10 06:15 PM

What an idiotic sport.

The Weak Link 05-09-10 06:17 PM

Painful. That looks painful.

Kind of like the chariot race scene in Ben Hur.

Anyway. Chicks dig scars.

Heal fast, Pcaddy. Take care of your cavesa.

patentcad 05-09-10 06:56 PM

Now I have a massive shiner.

patentcad 05-09-10 07:07 PM

I got road rash on my face and legs. My legs were shaven. My face was not.

This sport couldn't possibly be more effed up.

patentcad 05-09-10 07:07 PM

I can get 1000 posts out of this stupid little incident too.

Watch me.

The Weak Link 05-09-10 07:09 PM

Could you be a doper? That would mess things up even more.

kimconyc 05-09-10 07:12 PM

New bike parts coming (that's worth at least an additional 50 pages)?

KiddSisko 05-09-10 07:17 PM

Pcad crashes for the first time in a long time on the same day pros racing the Giro experienced one of their worst crash days ever. Coincidence?

mzeffex 05-09-10 07:17 PM

Just to add to the bloody stories here, last night at my friends house my friend's bipolar GF flipped the eff out over wanting the room to herself and moving us to the fun-lacking living room. She ended up attacking him (he has a smashed foot, 4 surgeries, from mtb crash) and scratched the hell out of his face. All over a room that she wanted.

I can't do doping. I'm afraid of needles. They gave me a tetanus shot today. Even that sucked.

mzeffex 05-09-10 07:23 PM

Does any channel broadcast the giro? Versus?

Universal sports. OK coverage. Lame low-def pictures. But better than nothing.

mzeffex 05-09-10 07:28 PM

I don't know if I get that. My NBC channel is 4.. The channel finder on the universal sports site has an error.

I'm still too fat for this sport.

You should see me next to my friend Sergei (who is the guy in the red/black/white kit in the 3rd picture). He is a Cat-3 in drag (Cat-5 since it is his first season racing) and I can't keep up with him most of the time.

Scuffed shifters (fixed this yesterday and today)

Will ride again.

edit: thanks to my friends Joe and Sergei for the photos :D

i assume on the cosmic carbones? i guess if an impact like this didn't crack the wheels, they are for real afterall.

King of Freds, Kimconyc, and gsteinb

I wish all of you a speedy recovery

patentcad 05-09-10 07:53 PM

Whenever you think cycling can't get any stupider, it always does.

And I'd say Pope of BF is more accurate than King of Freds, but what other people think of me is none of my business.

patentcad 05-09-10 07:58 PM

I'm watching The Tudors.

Off with their heads.

mzeffex 05-09-10 08:03 PM

I've not had a bad crash yet. Just waiting for the day to come..

Worst was when I accidentally took my steel road bike off road into a ditch between a shoulder and a side street, flipped over the bars and ripped my knee open.

Kai Winters 05-09-10 08:04 PM

Wow sorry to hear about the crash and I'm glad that both P and the doc are ok and will recover just fine.
Sucks to hit the deck...sucks even more in a couple of days when the adrenalin has flushed and all you are left with is the pain and trying not to stick to things...oh yeah showering with road rash is pure ecstasy too...heal quickly and fully...
